Our second year at this property. The house is amazing. North Rustico is wonderful. April Dicks, the host, is extremely responsive to any request. We plan to return next year to Lantern Hill.

Summer Stay in PEI

We had an amazing time! First time in PEI and the location in North Rustico was perfect. 10 minutes to all the shops in Cavendish, Cavendish beach, Avonlea Village, etc. Easy to get down to North Rustico Beach. Fresh fish at a market 2 minutes away and a small grocery for kitchen staples as well. Longest drive was a little over an hour to Greenwich Dunes (highly recommend) and we could get anywhere we wanted for this trip in under 30 minutes. House itself is beautiful. Plenty of room for a family of 5, my parents, and my sister. Kitchen updated. Everything was clean and in order when we arrived. Great view of the gulf sitting on the front porch and perfect for sunrise if you're up early.Host was VERY responsive to all questions and communication leading up to the trip was awesome. Would 100% stay here again!!

Beautiful spot but , allthough the property was quite impressive appearance wise , the ac was quite insufficient , the rooms on 1st and second floor were suffocatingly warm and the cool spaces on the basement floor were infested with earwigs as was the garage . When we advised the admin on our departure they told us we should have advised them so they could have had the place fumigated during our stay??? How could they do something if they don't know. I believe it is their job to know.We are short term vacation rentors , not home inspectors.As far as insufficient ac goes their suggestion was providing more fans so as to push the hot air around. I was made to feel my remarks were useless and that I should have somehow made the situation better by advising them before.

Hi, I appreciate your feedback regarding your stay. I would like to clarify a couple things. This property and all of our properties are very well maintained and cared for. We take guests feedback and recommendations seriously so we can improve for future stays. The issues that you encountered were unknown to us. Guests are provided with host contact information when issues arise such as the ones you have experienced. Without being notified that there is an issue, we are unable to rectify the problem. We have never had an earwig issues at this property. In regard to the heat, PEI is currently experiencing a heatwave. The house is hotter than normal and the AC will not cool the home to the degree that it normally would. Our company is extremely responsive in regard to guests complaints or needs during their stay. If these issues would have been communicated with the host, they would have been rectified so your stay would have been more enjoyable. Since you have notified us regarding these issues a day after you checkout, we have had these issues corrected for our current guests within 3-4 hours. Island Ties Vacation Rentals

Our extended family of 10 could not have asked for a better place to stay on Prince Edward Island. From the amenities to the location, our stay was wonderful. Our 10-year-old grandson summed it up as we were leaving: "Goodbye house. We are going to miss you. You were perfect."
