Our only setback was an unfortunate power failure on our first night which only got restored at 4am the next day. Looking around in darkness for candles or torches with only our phones to guide us was not easy. The call centre couldn't tell me where there would be some or if there was a generator on the property. So we had no heating and no water and toilet flushing...lol. Too late to find a place to eat either. So we had an early night. I did find some torches the next day above the rangehood, (wouldn't have thought it'd be there).Communication could have been better. Maybe our experience will help the next visitors. Overall it was a very pleasant stay for us. Will visit again

Beautiful setting

The house has such beautiful views from the deck, great for morning coffee! The kitchen is well equipped with a good selection of cooking equipment. Coffee machine was a lovely surprise. All basics supplied, tea, coffee, coffee pods, sugar and condiments as well as cleaning stuff, dishwasher tablets, bin bags etc. The house had a great selection of books, toys, games and jigsaws for kids and adults. Great central location close to all the beautiful places to visit. Great wildlife locally. Excellent communication from property manager / owner.
