About the host
Hosted by Kerin Booth
My husband Kim and I are owners of 'Beach Daze'. We live a few hours away in Meander, near Deloraine, Tasmania. We would love to get over to Bridport more often but our family timber business keeps us very busy. Anne-Marie, our excellent manager who keeps the place very clean and welcoming for guests, is the main host of the property and she lives nearby. As co-host I am available for contacting only if Anne-Marie is unavailable. We love providing a relaxing holiday home for our guests and hope you will love your stay!
Why they chose this property
We love Bridport for the lovely coastal environment for swimming, surfing and walking. It's just a short walk across the road to the wharf and a seafood cafe with the fresh fish, scallops and lobster supplied by the fishing boats. There is also a forested trail you can follow up to the town or a foreshore walk. There are some great little shops and eateries in the seaside town of Bridport. It's just a 10-minute stroll up to the main shopping precinct and hotels and restaurants. And along the foreshore there are a variety of picturesque beaches including a surf beach called Adam's Beach which is just a 5-minute drive, then a little sandy track takes you down to the beach which is an off-leash area for your dog.
Bridport is a one-hour (85km) scenic drive northeast of Launceston. You will love this well-serviced coastal village, surrounded by bushland reserves with its 11km circuit of scenic walking tracks. It's a popular seaside holiday haven with sun, sand and amazing skies, protected family-friendly beaches and a surf beach nearby. You'll appreciate the ever-changing landscape from the picture windows of your accommodation, as the fishing boats and ferry come and go while the tide ebbs and flows.
There are several attractive beaches, waterfront parks, walkways, cafes, hotels, a gin distillery in Bridport. The Bridport region also has many attractions from world-class Golf courses, the highly popular Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails, the Bridestowe Lavender Farm, several fine vineyards. Historic towns of Legerwood, Scottsdale and Branxholme are also worth visiting while you're in the region.
