Start every day “over the river and through the woods” in a stunning forest-side chalet tucked beside a magical stretch of trees and steps from Winter Park's best trails. Whether you're walking into town, catching the ski bus, soaking in the private hot tub, or watching kids and dogs explore the woods, this home blends adventure, comfort, and cozy mountain living.
Just outside the door is a beautiful wooded trail that leads straight to the Fraser River and into downtown Winter Park. In summer, you're a 5-minute walk to Hernando's Pizza and Carver's. In winter, the same trail becomes a snow-packed wonderland perfect for kids and dogs. A short branch off the trail takes you to a hilltop viewpoint with panoramic mountain vistas, glowing sunsets, and a little kids' teepee. The nearby Four Seasons Trail is filled with wildflowers in summer and golden aspens in fall, making it ideal for walking or biking. The ski bus stop is also a short walk away.
Inside, the chalet is just as inviting—warm, stylish, and thoughtfully designed for families and groups. With cozy bedding, a fully stocked kitchen, forest views, and a private hot tub under the stars, you'll find comfort and relaxation in every corner of this mountain retreat.
THE SPACE
This 2,000-sq-ft chalet sleeps up to 10 guests with two king bedrooms, each with large walk-in closets, and a spacious bunk room with a full-over-full and a queen-over-queen, perfect for kids, cousins, or multiple adults. There are 3.5 bathrooms, including an oversized bath in the bunk room, giving everyone plenty of space to spread out. Every room includes thoughtful touches like sound machines, chargers, warm bedding, and high-quality organic mattresses. The windows open wide on summer nights for crisp mountain air.
Families will appreciate the retractable baby and pet gates, two pack-and-plays, two stowaway high chairs, and a charming kids' nook that's perfect for reading, relaxing, or iPad time while adults unwind upstairs. The home is curated with non-toxic, family-friendly items, including non-toxic cookware, food-grade silicone for kiddos, and BPA-free dishware.
The main living area is warm and inviting with a cozy gas fireplace, ample seating, and views into the surrounding trees. It's the perfect place to curl up after a day of skiing or exploring. The private hot tub is always hot and ready, and the back deck overlooks the peaceful forest. The deck also includes a gas grill for year-round outdoor cooking. The kitchen is fully stocked to serve 10 people, and every bedroom features streaming-enabled TVs for private movie nights.
GUEST ACCESS
Guests have full access to the private hot tub, the heated garage with tall clearance for SUVs with racks, and an additional driveway parking space for a total of three vehicles. The garage includes ski storage racks, and the home features a huge mudroom with plenty of hooks, cubbies, and space for boots, jackets, packs, and helmets. There are several sleds available for guest use—one family-friendly sledding hill is located at the Rendezvous entrance, and a more adventurous hill is right behind the house (sled at your own risk). Roads, the driveway, and walkways are professionally plowed and cleared in winter for easy access.
The free ski bus stop is only a short walk away, making Winter Park Resort easily accessible without driving. Check-in instructions will be emailed before arrival, and the Happy Stays X guest app provides additional property details, discounts, optional services, and local information.

Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds and must be crated if left alone. Additional fees will apply for non-compliance. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am Daily.
