Walden Dale - beautiful Otways retreat 1hr from Geelong

5 acres of bush bliss, overlooking native gums and a tranquil dam.

A quiet and peaceful sanctuary, sleeping up to 8 inside and 4 extra in an external kids retreat. Master bedroom with king bed and en suite, second bedroom with queen bed, and third bedroom with double bunk, single bed and single trundle mattress. Kids retreat with bunks, TV, heating/cooling attached to garage (you'll need to pop inside for the bathroom). Main bathroom with shower and lovely bathtub with garden views. Linen provided for internal bedrooms, BYO for kids retreat.

Comfortable in all seasons with split systems in each bedroom, a wood heater in the living room, and outdoor fire place with plenty of seating. Large shed with pool table, foosball, darts and ping pong. Plenty of room for the kids to explore; goats to feed, trees to climb, mini ninja course and even a flying fox. Sit/stand desk in case you need to do some work!

Kitchen with gas oven and stove top, microwave, coffee machine, air fryer and plenty of cookware/cutlery/crockery. Indoor and outdoor dining areas; with barbecue on the back deck and grill on the fire pit for cooking outdoors.

Close to Birregurra’s Royal Mail Hotel and Brae restaurant; Forrest and its mountain bike paths; and the magnificent Otways. Rail trails, bushwalks, waterfalls, tree top adventures and the redwoods are all within easy reach. An easy 1hr drive from Geelong.

The house was comfortable, stylish and clean. Beautiful gardens and expansive outdoor spaces. The games room in the shed was great fun and we loved patting the animals each day. It was so green and quiet - just what we needed.

Beautiful, quite property in the Otways.Everything we could have wished for was provided, including outdoor fire pit, games room and even goats.Just the perfect relaxing weekend to celebrate my wife’s 50th with her closest family.Could not recommend Walden Dale more highly.

We had a great family weekend with our chocolate labrador on board too - didn't need to go off the property for fun, my boys loved the ping pong, pool table and the ropes course. My labrador loved the space and quickly became friends with the horse. Nothing better than sitting in front of a fire playing games altogether. Thanks so much for having us

Looking for a peaceful place out of the rat race?? …. Where the mind drifts to the tree tops listening to the birds, relaxing walks through the many themed and thought out gardens. Where little people (children) can imagine and create adventures with plenty of outside time… All the amenities are there, in a place that feels like home. Switch off (to online) but switch in to Nature and all its beautiful surrounds. Our greyhound Johnny enjoyed it too. Thank you x
