Mataluka – A Charming Country Retreat On a quiet country road, tucked away behind a small fence, Mataluka is a charming country home offering a peaceful country escape with beautiful rural views. The property is perfectly positioned close to the stunning beaches of Sandy Point and Waratah Bay, as well as the spectacular Wilsons Promontory.
Freshly renovated, Mataluka now features a brand new bathroom with walk in shower and a separate toilet, adding extra comfort and convenience for guests.
The home features timber floors throughout the living areas, carpeted bedrooms and a large deck with plenty of space for entertaining, relaxing and enjoying the spectacular countryside views.
There are four comfortable bedrooms. The first and second bedrooms each have a queen-sized bed, with the first bedroom also featuring an ensuite. The third bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a set of single bunks, while the fourth bedroom has a set of single bunks and a single bed. Linen and towels are provided for all beds, so you simply need to bring your beach towels.
Guests are welcome to use any firewood stored in the wood box on the front verandah, perfect for cosy evenings around the wood heater.
The well-equipped kitchen includes an oven, microwave and coffee machine, while the dining table comfortably seats eight guests. The light-filled living room features a large, comfortable lounge wrapped around the wood heater, along with a large TV, DVD player and air conditioning.
Step outside onto the very large deck, an ideal spot to enjoy lazy summer afternoons, evening drinks or alfresco meals while taking in the peaceful surroundings. There is ample outdoor seating across the decks, as well as a picnic table at the front of the property.
From the deck, step down into the lovely garden, where you’ll find plenty of seating and space to unwind. Surrounded by nature and peaceful countryside, Mataluka is the perfect place to slow down, relax and enjoy everything this beautiful part of South Gippsland has to offer.
No Dogs/Pets Allowed at this property, due to close proximity of farm animals.
- Getting Around
Fish Creek is a small country town featured on the ABC tv Show 'Backroads' and plays host to the Tea Cosy Festival plus the Fishy Stories - Festival of Childrens Stories. Cars are required to get around if you wish to explore the nearby beaches, country side and surrounding areas.
- Other things to note
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control. This property is on tank water and septic systems.
