The Space:

Discover High Top Refuge, a two-story mountain escape where comfort meets natural beauty in Saluda, NC. With 1,520 sq. ft. of thoughtfully designed space, this retreat sleeps up to 8 guests and is perfect for family gatherings or group getaways.



The upper level boasts a modern kitchen, comfortable living room, and deck access with scenic views—ideal for morning coffee or evening unwinding. The upstairs king bedroom includes a TV, electric fireplace, closet, and bathroom access, plus entry to the back deck. Downstairs, another king bedroom with TV offers convenience, alongside a second bathroom and a bunk room with two twin-over-twin beds, making it a fun option for kids or friends.



Outdoor decks on both levels create the perfect setting to take in the mountain views, enjoying the hot tub, gas fire pits and Adirondack seating welcome those quiet relaxing nights. Additional comforts include a washer/dryer, oven, microwave, and two full bathrooms—one featuring a double vanity and walk-in shower, the other a tub/shower combo.



We’re excited to share a recent enhancement at Saluda Mountain Retreat: a shared sauna, now available for you and the neighboring cabin to enjoy.



Get ready to serve up some fun during your stay at Saluda Mountain Retreat! Nestled right against the lush forest backdrop, our brand-new, full-size pickleball court will be added before December 2026 exclusively for our guests.



We provide regular pest control at our properties; however, because some of our homes are located in rural settings, guests may still encounter insects or small wildlife from time to time.



To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all, we encourage and request all guests to review our house rules before completing their booking. These guidelines help maintain comfort, security, and create clear expectations for all involved. It’s a beautiful place with a beautiful view. House was well-equipped for an extended stay. Quiet. Peaceful. Serene. Perfect place to unwind and rest with good hiking nearby.

Downstairs a lot cooler (temperature) than the upstairs. Thermostat is located upstairs so it’s get hot upstairs trying to warm the downstairs.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider renting this cabin again. The location was peaceful, the mountain views were beautiful, and the amenities made for a very relaxing experience.Communication with the host was excellent. They were responsive, accommodated an early check-in, and quickly handled reservation changes when our group size increased. The cabin was exceptionally clean, well furnished, and stocked with nearly everything we needed. Minor maintenance items included a back porch door that was difficult to close and a bathroom barn door that occasionally came off track, but neither impacted our enjoyment.The hot tub and sauna were standout features. Both were clean, well maintained, and provided a wonderful place to relax while enjoying the mountain views.The only significant issue was the air conditioning. The thermostat was locked despite a note indicating guests could adjust it, and the home reached 79F during our stay. While the host attempted to help troubleshoot, the issue was not fully addressed until a portable AC unit was delivered late in our visit. I believe a technician should have been sent sooner.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. We do hope the AC issue is resolved, as it was the only concern in an otherwise excellent experience.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean, had a beautiful view, and was so peaceful and quiet. It accommodated our family of five comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with the basics needed to prepare simple meals. The location was perfect - we enjoyed an afternoon of tubing and exploring the charming small-town shops nearby.The host was an excellent communicator and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. We'd definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
