We cannot thank this property’s host Kari enough for making our stay so comfortable and amazing! The cabin was well stocked with everything one could need & cozily decorated! The host went out of her way to make this property very appealing & relaxing! Communication was easy informative. I highly recommend the Hard Day Hide Away Cabin!
Overall it was a great place to stay. Even with rain we were able to have a good time as a family. The bedrooms are smaller than you would generally expect but the cabin was good and fairly well setup.
Check in was a breeze and kitchen so well set up for everything! Excellent water view and perfect for families with small children as water is pretty shallow for a very long distance. Very Cozy cabin. Very very clean lake for all water fun…
We had a great stay at the Hardday Hideaway! The cabin was cozy, clean, dog friendly and had all the amenities you would need to enjoy your time there. Check in was effortless and the host was gracious with any questions I had. The lake was great as well! 10/10 recommend.
Cabin was perfect for our group, plenty of room for our two trucks and trailers location would have been good if there would have been snow, can’t predict Mother Nature.
The property was very nice. Everything you could possible need was there. The weather however prevented us from enjoying any water activities. Or having a fire in the evening. But that’s life in the UP!!
Just stayed two nights. rented a canoe from a place up the highway as there is no boat on the property. lake is beautiful but had minimal success fishing. everything you may need is included and there is plenty of room inside and out. would highly recommend this property if you want to be on the water. took one day and went to Pictured Rocks which is not too far

This property would seem to work better for families with small children. We were a 'all adult' group and the bedrooms were very small. No closets for storage.
In the upstairs bathroom, i noticed dirt in the corners next to the heat register. The dryer and dishwasher running at the same time would trigger the circuit breaker to go off.
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and supplies.
Maybe a door on the downstairs bedroom and laundry room.

Thank you for the feedback Jim. We will address your concerns to make the cabin a great experience for all.
Our family had a great time at the cabin. The kitchen and living area is spacious with beautiful windows looking over the lake. Lots of beds for a large group of people. Around the dock the water is shallow and sandy. It was absolutely perfect for our little kids. The water is crystal clear. We had so much fun wading around catching minnows. The provided kayaks and swim pad were perfect for everyone. We had a great time fishing and swimming all weekend long.
The lake was beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking. The shallow sand bottom was perfect for 2,3 & 5 year old grandkids. Quiet and peaceful. Loved the deck and fire pit. Cozy for 8 adults and 4 little ones.
We had a great get-a-way with family at the cottage! The lake was awesome for the kids and they had fun kayaking and swimming. Great communication with Kari. The deck overlooking the lake was awesome for a one year old that loved the water too much!! A giant playpen for her! :) It Was a great family time with family. We are looking forward to coming back again. We also used the 4-wheeler trails that were close to the cabin.. Thank you for everything, Kari!! The cabin was very well equiped with everything we needed.
Very nice Property on a beautiful lake. Property was as described. Owner was very quick to answer any questions. Our family had a great time snowmobiling, ice fishing, and playing games in front of the fireplace. As enjoyed watching the deer walk by every morning and evening. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your cabin!

About the host
Hosted by Kari Rogers
My husband and I are born and raised in the Upper Peninsula. After my husbands 8 years in the Marine Corps, we moved back to our hometown. We spend our time working, raising three kids and filling the little time between those two with our friends and family. Like most families, we know how precious time can be and this lead us to purchasing a cabin to enjoy as a family.
Why they chose this property
As a former military family, we have been fortunate enough to travel the coasts of the United States and know firsthand how beautiful different areas of the country are. After staying in cabins in Big Bear, CA and the Shenandoah Mountains in Virginia, we knew we wanted to own a cabin ourselves. This lead us back to our native Upper Peninsula where in 2020 we fulfilled our dreams of purchasing a beautiful Lake Cabin.
