BEWARE
Beware! False advertising, negligent landlord, anemic customer service. During my 29 days rental: 3.5 BAs had no hot water on 9 days and no flushable toilets on 5 days (due to cheap design built without electric hot water heater to supplement solar energy on cloudy days and without on-site water tank to buffer unreliable public water system); 5 BRs all exposed to loud noise from motorcycle rallies, karaoke bar, and dog boarding kennel (all within 100 feet of bedroom windows) disrupted sleep on 8 days; semi-private beach was nonexistent except at lowest tides below 10-ft-high rock embankment; front walkway gate (unlockable) and driveway gate (only partially opens automatically) broken all 29 days; ; home improvement contractors remedying water system design deficiencies (not maintenance or repairs) shared rented living space on 7 days. VRBO processed refund of 1 day's rent early on and refuses to do more without owner's consent, while owner "refuses to negotiate" my request for equitable price adjustment for 7 day's rent, so I am disputing charges using credit card arbitration. This owner severely harmed the vacations of my family and friends while violating my trust as a prepaid tenant.
Landlord's ultimatum to move out after 5 days in order to receive additional refund was useless given pending arrivals of family and friends flying in from U.S. mainland for vacations. VRBO's view that landlord met obligations under contract is absurd given the facts.
