Delightful escape, well appointed and comfortable accommodations . Helpful and kind host, even took care of the accumulation on the stairs after a freak early Spring storm.Lovely wooded surroundings, peaceful and quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay!

It was my pleasure having you both. All my best to you and Steve and your pups in your new home. And thank you very much for the wonderful review.
As your home is not far from me, hopefully we’ll run into one another in the future. Maybe at Walmart lol!

Peaceful yet convenient
If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay while visiting Gettysburg, this spot is a great choice. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short drive to all the main Gettysburg attractions, battlefields, museums, and historic sites, which makes it easy to spend the day exploring and then return somewhere quiet to relax. What really stood out to me was how peaceful the property is. It’s tucked away enough that you can enjoy the calm countryside atmosphere, especially in the evenings. After a full day walking the battlefield and visiting town, it was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The balance between convenience and tranquility makes this place special. You’re close to everything Gettysburg has to offer, but far enough away to enjoy a quiet, restful stay. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Thank you for your most gracious and positive review sir. It was a pleasure having you and your wife stay with me. It is my hope that you become a frequent guest.
As you are aware, I take great pride in making all stays completely private and wanting for nothing in your Gettysburg experience. If its in my power, most needs are quickly satisfied. Come back soon!

The apartment is in a great location, especially for anyone looking to explore Michaux State Forest and Gettysburg. It was quiet, cozy, and a comfortable home base for our trip. The host was communicative and reached out early on our arrival day to let us know an emergency had come up, and he wouldn’t be available to greet us as he normally would. While I suspect that may have also impacted the cleaning before our arrival, as the floors were a bit dirty and needed a quick sweep, all dishes, towels, and linens were clean and well-maintained. One small note for future travelers: there isn’t a toaster, so if you’re someone who likes to toast bagels, bread, etc., it’s good to know in advance. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the convenient location and cozy atmosphere.
