Welcome to the Lodge Suite at The Forest Hill Lodge, a warm and welcoming lakeside retreat space designed for gathering, relaxing and reconnecting with nature. Set on 5 forested acres of a resort on quiet Lovesick Lake, this spacious 5 bedroom suite blends vintage charm with modern comforts. It is the perfect space for family getaways and escapes with friends. The Suite includes room for 12 guests, with a full kitchen and dining area (BBQ too), two living areas and two full washrooms. You will also enjoy amenities of the resort, including the Lodge's main floor gathering area and games room, deck, a sandy beach and swimming area, docks, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, sauna, outdoor games and campfire spaces. Motor boat rentals are available to guests at an additional cost. With the villages of Lakefield, Buckhorn and Apsley all 15 minutes away, you are also never far from trails, restaurants, shopping, golf and fun attractions the Kawarthas has to offer. We had an amazing stay at Forest Hill Lodge! The modern suite was fantastic and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing, while still giving us that cozy cottage getaway feeling.One of the highlights for our group was the mess hall. It had tons of space for everyone to hang out, eat, and spend time together. The projector was perfect for movie nights, and having a dedicated kids’ playroom was a huge bonus. It really brought together the best of both worlds, modern comforts with that classic rustic cottage vibe.There is also so much to do right on the property, you really never have to worry about getting bored. There were countless activities and toys provided for both land and water, which kept the kids entertained and gave them plenty of opportunities to run around, play, and explore. It made the whole experience especially great for families.And the sauna was a big hit with our group! It was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day of activities.Overall, Forest Hill Lodge is a fantastic place for families or groups looking for a fun, relaxing cottage experience without having to sacrifice modern comforts. There’s something for everyone, and we would definitely love to come back!

This is quite the gem of a place! It was a perfect spot for our family celebration. Our hosts were phenomenal. The location is absolutely stunning, there is also fine dining within an easy drive and Lakefield is a great place to have a wander around - Peterborough is also close by too.It's a very popular place, so I would suggest booking earlier than later. The Lodge Suite was absolutely stunning! It's been recently renovated and a great deal of attention has been paid to detail, making it five stars! Our family ranged from four years old to seventy, everyone was accommodated and also very comfortable. This is a very family friendly spot - and was very much appreciated by all of us.The kitchen equipment is comprehensive. Kettle, coffee maker, toaster. dishwasher, microwave and so much more. Everything was spotlessly clean. We just moved in and began our celebrations immediately. Thank you Jacqueline and Matt - you are both incredible five star hosts. We wholeheartedly recommend this place - in fact, we will, in all probability return at some point, it's that kind of place!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! From the moment we arrived, our host, Jacqueline, made us feel incredibly welcome. She was so kind, humble, friendly, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Her warm hospitality truly made our trip even more special.The cottage itself was spotless, peaceful, and surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The stunning views, private beach, dock, boats, and all the amenities created the perfect place for our family to relax and make unforgettable memories. Despite the weather not being ideal, we still had an amazing experience because everything about the property was so beautiful and well maintained.We genuinely appreciated how accommodating Jacqueline was throughout our stay. She always greeted us with a smile and made sure we were comfortable. It's rare to find a host who cares so much about her guests.We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We will definitely be returning and will be recommending this wonderful place to all our family, friends, and colleagues.Thank you, Jacqueline, for your exceptional hospitality and for making our stay such a memorable one.
