Guest Access:
You will have access to the whole house and surrounding gardens. Please note the garage is locked and will not be accessible to guests.
The Neighborhood:
Redlynch is in the Freshwater Creek Valley and backs onto the Barron Gorge National Park. With plenty of bushwalking tracks, waterfalls and freshwater swimming it’s a haven for those who enjoy the outdoors.
In 1951 the author Xavier Herbert (1901-84) and his wife, Sadie, settled in Redlynch. He wrote Soldiers Women and Poor Fellow My Country (1975) in Redlynch, and the Herberts' cottage in Kamerunga Road is listed on the Queensland heritage register.
Getting Around:
There is free onsite parking at the house.
If using taxi or Uber, we recommend having them drive you all the way to the house otherwise its a bit of a walk up the driveway. There is room for cars to turn around at the house.
Likewise, if you are ordering a taxi or Uber to the house, be specific and let them know to pick you up at the house at the very top of the driveway.
Example instructions for your driver - "When you reach the T at the top of the street, turn right and continue all the way up. The house is at the top and there is room for your car to turn around."
