Built in 1869 as the Old Village Elementary School, this storied property has been transformed into a distinctive Cape Cod vacation rental. The home offers 4 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens, 2 twins and a pull-out sofa) and 3.5 bathrooms, combining historic character with modern comfort, as well as generous living/play space for all. Second floor master bedroom has its own kitchenette, ensuite bath and laundry. Located in the heart of Chatham’s Old Village, this historic home offers short walks to Lighthouse Beach, local shops and restaurants. Start your morning with coffee on the upper deck overlooking Mill Pond, then load up your beach wagon and head to the shore for a day in the sun. After the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower, relax with a drink while cooking dinner on the gas grill, and savor an evening in town with band concerts, shopping and ice cream. Be sure to catch the spectacular sunsets on the upper deck. A/C throughout the house with built-in units in the downstairs bedrooms and mini splits in the living room and the rooms upstairs. For your convenience, Wi-Fi is included. Ample parking. A complimentary reusable "Welcome Bag” filled with essential paper and cleaning products is offered courtesy of the owner. Beautiful property and the sunsets off the roof deck were amazing. There was so much space that everyone did not feel like they were on top of everybody else. And less than a five minute walk, you were already on the beach.
