About this property
Cottage in the Woods, Minutes to Greers Ferry Walleye Water
Greers Ferry Lake is one of the country's underrated walleye, hybrid striper, and smallmouth fisheries, and this cottage sits five minutes from Ramp Lane on the Drasco side. Roll out early, be on the water before the wind picks up, and be back for coffee before anyone at the cottage notices you left. Bring your boat, or fish from shore off the ramp.
The cottage itself is small, quiet, and tucked into a wooded one-acre lot in Drasco. Two bedrooms, one bath, a full kitchen, and enough room to stage rods, coolers, and gear without tracking the lake into the living room. Heat pump keeps things comfortable in every season. A covered porch, a fire ring, and a private drive round it out.
It works for more than anglers. Families use it as a low-key base for lake days, hikes, and the Sugarloaf Mountain island trail (the famous lake-island one you can see from the water, not to be confused with the Heber Springs Sugarloaf). Traveling healthcare staff and relocating professionals book it by the month. Anyone who wants an honest cabin in the woods, ten minutes from open water and twenty from Heber Springs, will feel at home here.
Inside: two bedrooms, one bath, full kitchen with cookware and coffee setup, washer and dryer, WiFi, streaming TV.
Outside: covered porch, fire ring, gas grill, private wooded acre, room to park a boat and truck.
Nearby: Ramp Lane launch on Greers Ferry (5 minute drive), Sugarloaf Mountain island trail, Greers Ferry Dam and the tailwater, Heber Springs restaurants and grocery (20 minutes), and the Little Red River trout water (30 minutes, in case the walleye aren't cooperating).

Perfect little cabin
This is exactly what we were looking for: a private getaway, away from the chaos of everyday life. The cabin was very clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. It is located on a very large lot and offers plenty to do outside. My kids loved the hammock and yard games. I was impressed with the reading selection (Steinbeck and Thoreau, to name a couple of the authors). The decor was equally impressive, with several pieces that looked to be original works. My wife loved the coziness of the place and was thoroughly impressed with how well-kept it was. The owners were an absolute pleasure and were very accommodating. This place made our mini-vacation perfect. We will definitely return!

Thanks guys! So glad you enjoyed your stay at our place! And, yes, my wife did all the oil paintings, and the landscape painting were done by Foster Hanford, a local artist. Thanks again for the great review, and we can't wait to host you again!

Nice and quiet
We overall really enjoyed our stay here. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating. Just a couple of minor complaints: There are only two window units in the house. One is in the living room and the other is in the extra bedroom. The master bedroom doesn't have one and would get very warm. If we tried to sleep with the door closed, we would have to get up in the middle of the night and open the door to let some of the cooler air in. Also, not much closet space. Bring your own hangers if you do wish to try to hang your clothes. Overall nice and would stay here again. Very close to the boat launch.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We actually are getting a quote on central heating/air next week, so hopefully when you come back that issue will be taken care of! We are sorry it got warm on y'all in there. I will square that away! Currently we keep all of our personal stuff locked up in the closet, but that does cut down on our guest's storage. This fall, I am building a owner's locker in the laundry room so we can let guests use the closets. That should help a ton. We never thought we would have so much interest in our place, so we are playing catch-up in all these areas so that we can provide the best atmosphere possible! Thanks a ton for your great review, and we hope to see you again soon!
This was a great location and comfortable place to stay for 4 people

This is a nice little Cabin that put us exactly where we wanted to be: very convenient to Greers Ferry Lake. Property manager was very responsive and accommodating. This place has everything you need in the way of appliances and cookware.: Very thoughtfully equipped with little things that one might not remember to bring like sugar, coffee filters etc.

Thanks so much!! I’m glad y’all had a great time! Please come back and see us soon!
This property is very quiet and secluded. We were in Arkansas motorcycle riding and used this as our base. It was perfect for us. You can tell it is an older place, but everything works fine. Minor things are strange but they don't affect it. ( upside down switch, fans operate weird, no ceiling light in living room.) We will definitely be looking to rent again in the future.
Had a great stay. Clean house with well equipped kitchen. No dining area but we managed.
Lake is absolutely amazing as always. If you have a boat , the ramp is close to put in and enjoy a day swimming, skiing, and cliff jumping. We will be back. Thanks Preston
Thanks so much!! We can't wait to host you and your family again soon!!
