About this property

Country Cottage

Welcome to our family cottage. We love this quiet house with the wide views out the windows. The front of the house faces south and receives ample sunshine. The back door opens onto a deck where we like to drink our morning coffee and watch for deer, turkey, and the occasional fox. On clear nights, the back deck turns into stargazing central.

There are two queen beds, one in each bedroom. Two single hideaway beds are tucked into the storage space, and a pack-n-play.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I came by myself with intentions of having guests visit/possibly stay and it was perfect for that. I was able to have my high school friends over one evening and a whole family fun night the next. I had access to everything I needed during my stay and would definitely rent it again. It was private, it was quiet and peaceful.

Pros: Very nice and communicative host; downstairs AC works great.Cons: The cottage is very old and has an initial musty odor. It squeaks loudly with every step, door open, or trip up the stairs, so a sound machine is a must for kids. The AC does not reach the upstairs bedrooms well, leaving them quite hot at night.Accessibility Note: The stairs are extremely steep, and the only bathroom is upstairs. Avoid this property if you have knee or mobility issues.Overall: It worked fine as a basic base to sleep and change clothes, though cleanliness could be improved.

We absolutely loved our stay. We were here for two months after moving from TX to PA and waiting on the close of our new home. The property is cozy and inviting, the hosts are wonderful. We had our pups with us as well and there was more than enough room to take them out for walks. Beautiful scenery and propery- you'll see tons of deer and all varieties of birds. Thank you!

The Country Cottage has been a perfect fit as I’m in the area for work and is as the pictures&description show. Marion has been a wonderful host, she is always quick to respond to any questions I’ve had. I do recommend having a vehicle with four wheel drive option if you will be traveling during Pennsylvania snow/ice season. The host did quickly have the driveway plowed for us and even went the extra step of having gravel hauled in to give extra traction after the snow storm. Very much appreciated.
