Welcome to our family Pocono home. We've been coming up to The Hideout for 5 years with our parents, siblings, and our children, and we want you to enjoy all that The Hideout and our house have to offer.
In the spring and autumn months you'll spend your waking hours out on the deck- regardless of how big your group is, there will be a seat for them. At night, enjoy some drinks around the propane fire pit, and on those crisper evenings, you can fire up the restaurant-grade outdoor propane heater. Summer is our favorite time to be at the Hideout because we can walk down the hill (about 10 minutes) and the kids can splash in the community pool and lake while we enjoy some beers on the beach. Winter months offer skiing and tubing on the hill just around the corner, and ice skating. Warm up by the fireplace when you're finished!
With 2 big living rooms, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, you'll all have your own space!

Our small group (2 families) had a wonderful and relaxing stay here. The house is spacious (3 levels) and peaceful. My 4 year old was so happy with all the toys and books! Most days we walked to the lovely lake beach to swim. The Tiki Bar was a great touch ;) Donovan is an excellent host - very easy communication. Thank you for such a great holiday!
It was everything and more of what we expected. It was well stocked, very clean, electronic game system for the kids, plus board games. All the bedrooms were great as well as the kitchen, and everything worked. The owner Donovan was great to work with.
We loved our visit to this property! From start to finish, our host Donovan promptly responded to any questions/needs. We loved the 3 levels of the home, which allowed for privacy and just a chance to have your own space. We had 3 different family units using the space...grandparents, and two young families with 2 children each. The HUGE porch was definitely a highlight with the gas heater and fireplace! We spotted some deer and turkeys right from the deck. So fun to enjoy the porch even when it was a little chilly at night. Home was meticulously clean and fully stocked with everything you could need to feel at home, prepare meals, and keep the kiddos entertained. Our children LOVED the new toys! The beds were so comfy, each and every one. I slept great despite rarely getting a good night's sleep when away from my own home. It truly is a home away from home! Don't delay, BOOK! You'll love it! Can't wait to come back!
A comfortable, spacious home in a friendly and welcoming private community. Everything is just as described in the post (maybe even better than the pictures here— imagine tall trees in every direction!). We would definitely stay here again, in any season!

About the host
Hosted by Donovan Hayes
The hosts are a family of siblings (and one in-law) that purchased the house after years of coming up to their parents' house and falling in love with the Hideout. We want to give you the opportunity to bring your family and friends up and enjoy it yourselves!
We come up from Philadelphia as often as we can, as we work jobs that provide us with flexibility during the summer months (teachers!), but in the in-between times we want to make sure that this house gets used.
What makes this property unique
If you're coming from the city, with a tiny plot of grass for a yard, the deck really is the main selling point of this house- you can have multiple families enjoying the time getting a change of scenery.
The amenities are what set the hideout apart- you can feel safe while your kids swim at the lifeguarded beach and pool, and there's a takeout place that will deliver you french fries and chicken fingers right to the beach!
