The Lodge at Dancing Horse Farm is set on an historic farmstead with beautiful mountain views and is just minutes away from Windham Mountain Club and Hunter Mountain Ski and Snowboard Resort. Dancing Horse Farm is the perfect place to escape your day to day life and reset with your family and friends in a beautiful, open space with private access to the farm area and our woodland hiking trails.

The lodge is situated at the end of a long, hemlock lined, private driveway. Once inside the lodge, your group will find great spaces to be together and plenty of bedrooms to spread out and have your own personal space. The main floor has a large kitchen, dining room and great room that is great for gathering groups but cozy and comfortable for any size family or group. Can't go to a your favorite sporting event...? Get together this fall for that big football game at our place and watch on our 65" 4K HDTV. The first floor has a large common area with a 75" 4K HDTV, a pool table and a dart board. There is a large stone patio and a wooden deck with seating and a gas bbq grill to spread out and enjoy the outdoors. There are also 3 firepit areas in the yard with comfy chairs to warm up on a cool night.

Just beyond the lodge you can walk down to our barns here at Dancing Horse Farm and say hello to the animals. Beyond the barn area, you can explore the many acres of woods with private walking trails to get back to nature.

Whether you are here to ski, snowboard, hang out on the farm, or just escape to nature, the Lodge at Dancing Horse Farm is the place where you will create memories that last a lifetime. Welcome home.

*Please note that if you are looking for additional space, please inquire about the Caretaker's Apartment. This space is available for you to rent along with the main lodge. This space is never rented to other guests when you rent the main lodge. The Caretaker's Apartment is attached to the main house with a private entrance. It has a kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining area and bedroom. The bedroom has a king bed and the living room has a twin day bed with an additional twin mattress underneath. The two chairs in the living room also fold out into beds. The space can be utilized for a variety of purposes: grandparents, newlyweds, group members that require private quarters, a teenage retreat, dedicated work space for corporate groups... etc. Please see the pictures in the gallery.

**To rent the lodge at Dancing Horse Farm, the primary renter must be on site and must be at least 25 years of age. Unfortunately, the property is not available to rent for prom parties, senior school parties, or similar gatherings. A driver's license, state or federal identification is required prior to booking.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please leave all bed linens on the beds. Please place all dirty bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths in the laundry bins in the 1st floor bathroom next to the washer/dryer.
Turn off all air conditioning units and/or set all heat thermostats to 55 degrees.
Please remove all trash from the house and outdoor spaces. Bag all garbage and recycling and place bags in the bins provided. Return all chairs and tables to their original location.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
If you are under 25 years of age the reservation will not be accepted. Sorry, but there are no exceptions. Proper State/Federal Photo ID required.
Additional guests (over 30 people) must be discussed with the owner.

Excellent Getaway location for a crowd

The property was clean, well organized, and equipped with everything to accommodate staying of a crowd. The property was beautiful, amenities were plentiful, and host was very easy to reach via message. Kitchen appliances, sound system, bed, shower room, and living room, everything was pleasant.

Spectacular experience, will be returning!

My job had a wellness retreat (30 people) and it was the perfect location for it. Everyone fit very comfortably in the house, and it was so clean and comfortable and well stocked with towels and all other items. Greg was very responsive and pleasant to work with as well. Very peaceful location, and we will likely return next for next years retreat!

Best Cabin Trip Thus Far!

We had an amazing stay - and Greg was absolutely phenomenal with communication - especially with providing information on plowing during a snow storm while we were there. The property was gorgeous and just a few minutes away from Wyndham Mountain. The property was very clean and huge for the great price. We were able to have a wellness retreat and the amenities were great!

Large home with everything you’ll need. Plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, fridge space for a large party. Bedding was nice, with plenty of extra blankets. Greg was very easy to work with and answered all of our questions quickly. We would definitely book this property again.

Huge house close to Windham mountain.

This is a wonderful property for a multi family get away. There are a ton of bedrooms and the house is well stocked with needed amenities.Greg was great to deal with. He was very communicative with instructions for the house. We definitely would like to book this property again.

Great long weekend

We had 4 families stay here over Presidents Day weekend. The house was great. The living area on the main floor is big and flows into a large kitchen - the kids took over the game room downstairs and stayed in the bunk rooms.It is a short ride to Windham Mountain and easy to drop off/pick up people at the mountain. There was plenty of firewood and the house had pretty much everything you need. Would recommend to any large group - and hope to be back next year to do it again.

Family Reunion

This was the perfect place for my family to convene for the weekend. There was plenty of space to converge when we wanted and separate when we wanted. The house is well stocked with everything we needed and the area is absolutely gorgeous.

The best house and owners!

My coworkers and I come here every year for our annual ski trip. We keep coming back because there is no place better. Plenty of bedrooms, plenty of room for fun, close to both windham and Hunter, and the owners could not be more attentive. Best place ever!

Perfect stay, perfect location, perfect host

This was by far one of the best rental properties I've ever booked. We hosted two back to back retreats over 6 days and 5 nights and had an amazing time. Greg was extremely helpful in supporting us as we were setting up and made the process easy, streamlined, and helpful at every point. Every item we could have needed was available from heating and cooling, to every kitchen utensil imaginable (neatly organized), to spices and ingredients to make cooking meals together easier. The beds, towels, and spaces were perfectly clean and pleasant for even our most high-maintenance guests. When planning events the one thing you don't want to have to worry about is the quality of the venue and that was super easy here. Thank you to the entire Dancing Horse Farms team for helping us create such a memorable experience!

Need to update listing

WE DID not expect to have NO Air Conditioning, because no where in listing does it say this, was the hottest day of year i think. AFTER cooling down in restaurant nearby, we cooled down. I must admit the next two nights were not bad and our group stayed away till evening time and ended up not bad to sleep. Plenty of fans and the home was beautiful. I would recommend stayng here if in the sking season but be prepared for a little warmth in the summer time. In fairness to the owners, we found out MOST homes do not have AC so we understand this is normal. The group would stay again kknowing what to expect. thanks Anita for everything

We had a such a great time! We had a large family get together, about 22 of us and there was more than enough space. Everything was clean, and there were lots of fun things to do in and around the house. The kids loved the cows! Communication was easy too! We def would stay again
