We had a wonderful stay at this lake house! Everything was clean and there were all the amenities needed and more! Our hosts were very attentive and easily contacted if needed. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed fishing from the dock and just relaxing and enjoying the view. The community was quiet and welcoming as well! Highly recommend! We look forward to another stay!
The house was great for family coming in for an event at Fort Bragg. On the lake with a great sunset view. The house was beautiful and perfect for gathering our family for the event. Joy (host) was great to work with. We would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
We enjoyed relaxing on the dock, paddleboarding, and kayaking during the day. After dinner the kitchen table was a great place to play games. We all loved the house and location.

Thank you for choosing Crowe's Nest on the Lake for your family vacation! We hope you come back soon!
We had a great time. Joy was very helpful and all was available as advertised. Our only minor complaint was that there was animal hair on several seat cushions and on the floor. We would recommend this place to our friends.

We were glad to host your family and fur family! As a pet friendly vacation home, our cleaning crew goes to great lengths to keep our home spotless, so I'm sorry you encountered pet hair. Next time you visit, if there is a problem please let me know as soon as you arrive so our cleaning crew can make it right!
What a gorgeous piece of property! The view alone was breathtaking of the lake and yard. Nice, large comfortable home w lots to do in the yard and water. Small town nearby for groceries, etc.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We hope you'll visit again in the future!
We enjoyed our recent stay at the Crowe's Nest. The home was spacious and had everything you could possibly need. My wife and I brought our two dogs and found the trail along the lake to be the perfect place to walk the dogs each day. The lake was was very quiet, especially during the week and made it peaceful to sit on the dog. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

We are so glad you enjoyed your time at the lake! The trail around the lake is perfect for getting in some exercise with the pups, and we agree, the dock is so peaceful! We hope you’ll return in the future.
Fantastic lake house just outside on Fayetteville and Ft Bragg. We spent several days visiting our son's stationed at Ft Bragg over the 4th of July. The house is just far enough away to give them a break and relax on the water. The house is large with great views of the lake. Joy was a wonderful host to me and our family, we hope to be back soon!

We are so glad your family enjoyed our lake house! We love hosting military families and helping our soldiers and airmen get away from base for some lake time R&R with family. Come back again!
This house had plenty of space for our family to spend time together and disconnect from the outside world. The view is wonderful! The host provided the supplies for smores and there were plenty of board games for entertainment. We were there for the Spartan race but would love to come back sometime to enjoy the kayaks on the lake!

Thank you for choosing Crowe's Nest on the Lake! Hope the race went well and we would welcome your family back for more fun on the lake!
Crowe's Nest is a really lovely home, well represented by the photos on VRBO. The house is large and comfortable. We had a wonderful time, enjoyed the back yard, the many lawn games, swimming in the lake, and reconnecting with family. Our two dogs loved swimming in the lake. Joy was very responsive and helpful in every way. Couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. Thank you! We'll be back.

Thank you for choosing Crowe's Nest on the Lake for your vacation! We hope to host your family again in the future!
We are deeply grateful to have met Joy and rented her wonderful Crowe's Nest. She was a pleasure to work with every step of the way and even had a bottle of wine in the fridge when we arrived. Her home was the perfect place for a mini-family reunion, quality time, outdoor activities, beautiful views, and sweet togetherness.
Since we live in Florida and our kids all live in Fayetteville, we will make this a new tradition when we go to visit. It was a short drive for the kids to escape to a special retreat and a happy place to make great memories with our grandchildren. We all loved being there and can't wait to go back!

Thank you! We were happy to host you and your family. We endeavor to provide a comfortable space for families to enjoy slowing down on lake time and being together! We welcome you back any time!
We rented this property over the Christmas Holiday for my family to stay. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans and the owner allows use of some common pantry items so we were able to easily cook meals. The location is right on the lake with a fire pit, canoes, and deck which is beautiful, however it’s a 10 min drive from the entrance of the neighborhood to the house. The house was very clean and there were board games and TVs with streaming subscriptions provided which was nice. Overall wonderful experience, would rent again!

We are so glad you enjoyed the holidays at Crowe's Nest on the Lake. It is a wonderful spot year round, but extra special to spend time together during Christmas. We hope you'll come again!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront home. While the house is spacious enough to comfortably fit a whole family, it was just the two of us and our dog—and we had more than enough room to relax and unwind. The setting is peaceful and stunning, with the lake just steps from the house. I especially enjoyed starting each morning with a cup of coffee on the dock, soaking in the serene view, and then taking a walk around the lake in the afternoon. There were plenty of activities to enjoy—kayaking, canoeing, and even a paddle boat! The house was equipped with everything we needed and more: plenty of towels, dishes, cookware, and even a gas stove. Although we didn’t use the outdoor grill, it was a nice option to have. I actually enjoyed the chance to cook indoors during our vacation, and the kitchen had everything I could possibly need.Check-in was a breeze. The owners provided detailed instructions ahead of time, so when we arrived at the security gate, all we had to do was show our IDs and scan a barcode. The community was friendly and welcoming. During our stay, they hosted a vendor market on Friday, which was a fun surprise! The hosts were incredibly responsive—any questions we had were answered within minutes. You can tell they truly care about making guests feel comfortable and at home. One of the best parts for us was that our dog was welcome too. It meant so much to be able to include her in our getaway.Overall, it was a peaceful, relaxing vac
POSITIVES: (1) Wonderful host to work with. Very understanding about the headaches related to trying to schedule around the military and actually allowed us to change dates after then last date to cancel. (2) The lake is RIGHT THERE - very wonderful sitting next to the water enjoying the view. (3) The community is very friendly and we could tell have extremely nice residents, with a lot of events. We attended a Farmers' Market while there - a lot of fun. (4) Thanks for having a large TV in the living room - very much appreciated. (5) Thanks for having the house pretty well stocked with all those standards that one would need anywhere. SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS: (1) Living room furniture was almost impossible to sit on - so uncomfortable that we started using the ottoman, coffee table, and kitchen stools to sit on. The springs seem to be shot in the sofas and the seat cushions continuously slide off. (2) Also, we were never able to successfully work either of the 2 ovens.

Pam I’m so sorry you didn’t find our leather sofas comfortable. And I certainly wish you would’ve let me know about the ovens! Electrician says breaker had popped - we could have told you how to quickly remedy it!
Our family with two teenage kids, along with our two dogs, had a great time at this lake house. It’s a nicely maintained, private lake house that sits tucked back in a gated community. The best part was the lake frontage and deck, along with the nearby trails that ran alongside the water. The communication with Joy, the owner, was great. There weren’t a whole lot of restaurants or other activities in the area, but we knew that — I will say we did find a great coffee shop nearby. If you’re looking for a relaxing, quiet lake home, you’ll want to take a close look at this one.

So glad your family and dogs enjoyed your visit to our lake home! We’d welcome you back in the future.
Our family is excited to welcome you to the Crowe's Nest on the Lake. We particularly love to host families visiting their military loved ones at nearby Fort Bragg. I grew up in nearby Fayetteville, NC. My husband is retired military, my son is active duty Army, and we split time between our homes in NC and FL. We enjoy spending time on and in the lake in our amazing community. I hope to give our guests the little details that I appreciate when traveling. It’s the little things in life that count!
Why they chose this property
We are excited to offer other families the chance to get away for a quiet, lake vacation at our happy place. We love our lake home and lived there full time for a decade. We have endeavored to make it comfortable get away for families to make themselves at home, enjoy its laid back atmosphere and respect our beautiful home and property. And, the sunsets are amazing from the back dock!
