Stunning Views, Peaceful Location, Large Pool & Minutes from Cruz Bay
A fantastic home for families or multiple couples to enjoy peace and tranquility, with stunning ocean views, a large pool, and the convenience of Cruz Bay only minutes away. Terrapin Station (formerly known as Stella Bella) underwent a major renovation in 2020 that included an all-new kitchen, master bath, guest suite, AC systems and furnishings. The property retains the charms of old St. John while providing the modern conveniences you expect in a vacation home.
The upstairs has an open floor plan with amazing views. The chef-worthy kitchen sits just above a sunken living and dining area, allowing everyone to gather during meal time and social hour - or to watch a game on the 60” screen. Outside the living room is an expansive deck that overlooks Chocolate Hole and Hart Bay, with St Thomas to the west and St Croix to the south.
Adjoining the living area are two equal-sized primary suites. Each suite has its own private bath and large covered screened-n porch. Both bedrooms are over 350 sf and feature new king-size beds plus a separate day bed for napping…or keeping little ones close by.
The other two bedrooms are downstairs. Both are mini-apartments with private baths, kitchenettes and separate entrances – perfect for in-laws or outlaws who need privacy. Bedroom #3 is set up like a two-room hotel suite, with a king-size bed in one room and space for a full size air mattress in the separate living area. Bedroom #4 is an efficiency configuration, with a queen-size bed and a full kitchen. The views are essentially identical from all four of the villa’s bedrooms.
There are other great features throughout the house. For starters, 100% of the living area is air conditioned, which isn’t typical on St John. Terrapin Station has one of the island’s larger pools – and it’s private enough for skinny-dipping! If cooking is your thing, the well-appointed kitchen, two refrigerators and an outdoor grill will make your week. Fast internet service, a brand new laundry room, Tesla Power Walls to keep the lights on during a power outage, and parking for 3+ vehicles makes this a great place to call your island home.

We purchased Terrapin Station in 2021. After visiting St John with our family, we fell in love with the island and wanted a home to build lasting memories with our family and friends. So while we are not (yet!) residents, we'll be frequent visitors...and part of our hearts remain in St John.

Why they chose this property
We bought this house because we could see our family and friends enjoying time together inside in the open living space, on the multiple decks, and in the large swimming pool. We also love the location, with the rare mix of privacy and convenience. Located at the end of a road, the house is surrounded by nature, yet only 3-minutes to the grocery store, 5-min to downtown Cruz Bay and less than 10-min to the north side beaches.
What makes this property unique
100% air conditioned, big pool, private location and convenient to everything. Great for couples sharing space with 4 large, private bedrooms. Very accommodating for families with two of the bedroom suites including day beds.
