Wonderful property for our family of four. There was plenty of room to spread out, and our favorite part was the large balcony upstairs. Breathtaking views of the lake! Check-in was very easy, and we had no problem getting into the house. The roads to the home were very narrow and sometimes difficult to navigate, but we made it in and out fairly quickly. Even though the rental doesn’t have air conditioning, the large windows and doors made it easy to get air circulating in the house. The kitchen was well appointed, and we made dinner there several times. All in all, I would completely recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in a quieter area and wants exceptional lake views!

Beautiful view of Lago Maggiore

I stayed here with my husband and two children and had a wonderful time. The view from the different balconies/roof terrace is amazing, the neighborhood super quiet. 8-10 minutes down the mountain there are several public beaches to swim. My favorite was Bagno Spiaggia di Gerra Gambarogno and Sanna beach. This last one has chairs and umbrellas for free. There is also a little supermarket Ute and Uhli with some local products and everything you need with super nice people. At the other beach in Gerra is also a small supermarket for your first needs. We visited the market in Locarno and Ascona, drove to Italy and had an amazing lunch at Tiffany in Luino, beautiful setting, also romantic. From Gambarogno you can drive up the mountain behind the house, on the top is a fun mountain restaurant with a beautiful view, if you then drive down you pass several cute mountain villages, worth to explore on foot with several restaurants and coffee stops possible. You end up in Italy again, but then it is an easy drive back to the house. Closeby are several restaurants with terraces overlooking the lake. Note: there is no washing machine, but there is a very clean laundry self service 20 minutes away.l (Lavanderia Self Service da Giacoma). The house has everything you need otherwise. I would stay here again. Communication with Peter the host is very easy and quick.

Casa Emilia, 8 Personen, Juli 2021

Schönes Haus an wunderbarer Lage
