Condo was tastefully and thoughtfully appointed. Well stocked, exceeding expectations. Host (Steve) communicated promptly with helpful suggestions and pleasant reminders. Quiet place with large, comfortable lanai providing outstanding ocean view! Would stay there again… highly recommend!
Great condo with awesome outdoor space with wonderful ocean views. Everything was as advertised. Perfect for two people. Host always answered in a very timely manner
This is a wonderful property. My Dad and his law partner had a condo in Ekolu, in the 1980's, just another street over from this condo. I've geen going to Wailea since 1983. I know this area very well. This condo is perfectly situated for an easy in and out, phenomenal ocean views and has all of the amenities you need or want - all at a fair price! And, it is a photographer's dream position for great sunset shots. Steve is an excellent host. I highly recommend this place.
My wife and I enjoy staying in the Wailea area when we visit Maui. This is a great location for those who want to be close to everything but not right next to the resorts. From the lanai there are amazing views of the ocean - great for whale watching in the winter and early spring. Steve was a good host and easy to communicate with. We would be happy to stay here again in the future.
My partner and I stayed 5 nights at Steve’s property. The home was clean and had all amenities we needed. The views from the deck were amazing, looking right out to the ocean and a great view of Molokini Crater! The pool was great to have for an afternoon dip. We felt very safe in the area and had lots of options for meals close by. Communication with host was good and check-in/check out was easy.
The property is very clean, and the view is spectacular. There is AC in the bedroom only. Would be nice if there was another wall unit in the living room, but not a deal-breaker.
We recently stayed at a unit in Maui, Hawaii, and overall, it was an excellent experience. The unit was very quiet, even with the windows open, and it was nicely stocked for guests. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as a white noise sound machine and laundry detergent. The cleanliness of the unit was exceptional — kudos to the cleaning staff for maintaining such a high standard. The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and golf courses. Parking was straightforward, with a dedicated space just outside the door, making arrivals and departures very easy. The unit itself is located in an older condo complex, but it has been very well-maintained and updated with modern appliances, large televisions, and more. We often prefer older properties like this because they are typically built more solidly and offer more generous square footage. There is a nice window air conditioning unit in the bedroom, which uses a timer. The longest setting available is two hours, so it does require resetting if you need it to run throughout the night. However, it did an excellent job keeping the bedroom comfortable. We chose to keep the bedroom door closed and only cool that space, as it would not have been efficient to try to cool the entire condo with this unit. One additional note: there is a small portable safe in the unit. However, it is not attached or anchored, so we chose not to use it.Overall, we highly recommend this property for anyone.
Lived on the lanai! Views are always changing and sunsets were magical. Steve’s condo has everything you need to enjoy the beach or nearby pool.
Amazing property with lovely flower lined pathways for morning walks. Great farmers market and interesting shops are an easy walk down the hill.
Beautifully situated top-level, one-bedroom condo in Wailea Ekolu -- one of the best views of the ocean and sunset I've seen in Wailea, with easy access to two quiet, private small pools within the complex. The condo itself is nicely appointed, and communications with the owner are easy and friendly. A lovely place to stay in this beautiful part of south Maui.
We had a wonderful stay. Especially loved our time on the lanai - enjoying morning coffees and watching the amazing evening sunsets. Steve was very prompt in all of our communications and super helpful and kind.
Enjoyed stay. Unit was really nice as advertised. Well equipped. Beautiful view. Live on deck. Some problem with main TV channel access. Would definitely stay their again.
The unit was exactly as described. Great location, nice unit, very comfortable, thoughly enjoyed our stay.

Aloha, My name is Steve, my wife and I live in the Seattle vicinity. We were married on Maui, summer of 1989. We have developed a deep connection to Maui, and have traveled here for many years. I’m self-employed, turning my hobby into a business 35 years ago. My wife works for the school district, specifically with special needs young adult students transitioning into the workplace. Our vacation schedules, and summers off, allows us to visit several times a year for a couple weeks or months at a time. We both enjoy the outdoor Hawaiian lifestyle, weather, the many beaches we go to, activities and the laid-back aloha spirit of the islands. Winter, spring, summer or fall, the climate is always a comfortable mid 80’s with cool afternoon trade winds.
Over the years we have seen Maui transform from a small rural island community covered by sugar cane and pineapple fields. Today everything you’re able to get on the mainland is available too, on Maui. The advantage is, Maui has become an affordable vacation destination with plenty of sightseeing and activities to make for memorable experiences.
I have never spoke to a visitor that said they will never come back, the conversation is always one of, “when will I be able to return, and how long can I stay for my next vacation here”
Enjoy your stay. Mahalo
Why they chose this property
My father and uncle originally bought this condo after it was built in 1979. They were both avid golfers and Maui was convenient for them to escape the cold-wet pacific northwest weather during the winter to enjoy sunny south Maui golf. Only family members were allowed to stay here. I purchased the condo to keep it in the family so future family members could enjoy using it, as I was able to. Now too, my wife and I will have a place to semi retire and visit for longer stays.
I frequently traveled to southeast Asia in the 70’s and 80’s. Maui was a great half way point to stop and adjust to time zone differences and acclimate from jet lag. So, when the family purchased the property, it became our layover destination. Stopping here several time a year I fell in love with Maui, its outdoor activities, and the tropical climate.
