A lovely, spacious house that was just right for our short visit to WW1 sites in the area. We arrived at a very hot time and Blandine had thoughtfully put on the air conditioning, which she left on during our stay. The property was very clean and had all the facilities we needed for our stay. There was a good area for sitting out and space to park two cars: we also felt the garden and gated access were safe for our two small dogs. The large television meant that we could watch the World Cup matches (and the table football set meant that we could recreate them!). The only drawback, as another reviewer has mentioned, is the proximity of a fairly busy road. It didn't spoil our stay or disturb our sleep, though it could be somewhat noisy in the garden. But we loved staying there and found the house comfortable and well equipped.

Clean Gite

The accommodation was clean bedrooms were lovely and Tv was a definite bonus. The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and small which could be an issue for older people or people with larger feet!. Although I paid a cleaning fee a list of to do chores before you leave were left, strip beds sweep floors which I found a little unreasonable. Wittes is very quiet the only restaurant was shut for the week but chez Max and Gwen was open don’t let the outside appearance put you off the food was lovely x The gite is also on a busy main road which can be quite noisy from very early morning this we did not expect as it is a rural area.

Thank you Paula, indeed the gîte and on a departmental road but on this side I personally can't do anything. When it comes to the cleaning package, you are just asked to empty the bins, undo the beds and vacuum, something you will find to do in all rentals. Really sorry that your vacation did not take you more knowing that we have beautiful places to visit. Many restaurants also near us.

Le chauffage avait été mis avant notre arrivée ce qui est tres appreciable! Gite confortable avec une bonne literie! Tout était parfait!
