We’re disappointed by this retaliatory review, as it does not accurately reflect the guest’s experience or our prompt communication throughout their stay. Only two issues were ever reported — the hot water and a bed frame concern — both of which were immediately addressed. The hot water pilot light had simply gone out (a normal, easily fixable occurrence), and the bed was confirmed by both our cleaning team and the prior guests to have been fully intact before this stay. The pilot was relit right away, and hot water was swiftly fully restored. The bed frame was also repaired immediately after being reported and the guests would not have had any reason to have placed the mattress on the floor. Although we suspect the damage occurred during this stay, we did not seek compensation for it. Our washer, dryer, and utility room light are all in perfect working order, verified before and after this guest’s stay. No other issues were mentioned until after checkout, when the guest demanded a refund and stated, “I will wait till 10-23-2025 for y’all to respond before we decide what action we need to take.” We chose not to engage in this type of exchange, as we do not respond to threats or refund demands made after a completed stay. We have reported both this retaliatory review and the guest’s conduct to VRBO. We take great pride in maintaining a clean, well-cared-for home and always respond quickly to legitimate concerns. Our many positive reviews better reflect the quality of our property and the experience we provide.

Unfortunately these travelers arrived on the heels of two things: 1. Lots of rain (which prevented us and all of Corpus from cutting the yard) and 2. A broken pool. We did not know the pool was broken until the day they were scheduled to check in. Once we discovered the broken pool we immediately contacted guest & offered a full refund. Guest opted not to take it and chose to stay. In hindsight we should not have allowed them to stay. We did everything humanly possible to repair the pool as quickly as possible but they had a short stay so unfortunately were unable to use the pool for most of their stay. Sadly, these tenants damaged most of our bedding, Left the home in very poor quality and are not welcomed back. Hosts beware. UPDATE: Grass looks great! Yard even has new landscaping! Pool is sparkling blue!! :)
