Centrally located, yet secluded house on the outskirts of Dolcedo

The Casa Catharina (IT008030C2MR3HKMOX) is a holiday home that was created from an old olive mill. It is on the outskirts of Dolcedo, Liguria. Dolcedo is a beautiful village on the Italian Riviera, not far from the cities of Imperia, Sanremo, Alassio and the French border (Nice, Monaco, Menton). You can walk to baker / grocery stores, pizzerias, a very delicate ristorante, pharmacy, bar, etc. (up to max. 400m away) via very nice footpaths of the medieval village center. The sea is about 8km away.

The Casa Catharina is an upscale holiday home for up to 4 adults (+ toddlers).

Casa Catharina can be booked weekly (Sat-Sat). It offers chairs and a bed for small children, but the bridge in the living room and the relative depth of the terrace wall must be considered. Please do not leave children unattended on the terrace.

We had a wonderful stay in Dolcedo. The house was perfect, keeping us cool despite the hot August weather, comfortable beds, a beautiful little terrace, and well furrnished. We thoroughly enjoyed the village and surroundings. Patrick was quick to answer any questions and check in and check out was very smooth. Thanks!

The house is nicely located in the little hamlet of San Martino in Dolcedo. and Dolcedo itself is a lovely place to visit for a stroll and its restaurants.. The house is modern, spacious and well equipped. For a family with toddlers, you may be mindful of the many (open) stairs. Patrick the host is quick and clear in its communication. We enjoyed it!

Geweldig

Het huis is heel gunstig gelegen en is van alle gemakken voorzien. Dolcedo is een erg mooi dorp en we vonden het heerlijk dat er zoveel restaurants en cafés op loopafstand te bereiken waren. Naar het strand in Imperia is het slechts15 minuten rijden. Veel supermarkten in de naaste omgeving. Imperia, Albenga en San Remo zijn zeker een bezoekje waard. Het in- en uitcheckproces verliep heel gemakkelijk en de communicatie met de eigenaar was zeer goed. De contactpersoon ter plaatse was erg aardig en behulpzaam. We hebben enorm genoten van onze vakantie in Dolcedo en kunnen anderen Casa Catharina alleen maar van harte aanraden.

Toller erholsamer Aufenthalt in sehr schöner Umgebung

Die Ferienwohnung war perfekt. Es war alles vorhanden, was man benötigt, die Lage ist wunderschön und ruhig. Von der Terrasse, die wir sehr oft genutzt haben, hat man einen wunderschönen Blick ins Prino-Tal. Man kann schon von Dolcedo aus sehr schöne Wanderungen unternehmen, oder man fährt mit dem Auto nach Vasia (Monte Acquarone) oder zur Kapelle Santa Brigida und dann zum Monte Faudo. Oder natürlich zum Baden ans Meer oder an die schönen Städtchen an der Küste... Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, mit den Mückengittern konnte die Wohnung auch mückenfrei gehalten werden. Dolcedo selbst ist ein wunderschönes Dorf mit einem sehr guten Bäcker und hervorragenden Pizzerien (Hier sei die Osteria Maibon (eher hochpreisig), die Pizzeria Dolcedo und Da Lalla (beides bodenständige, authentische und recht preiswerte Pizzerien). Genutzt haben wir auch die Badegumpe im Ort nahe der kleinen Brücke.

Traditionelles Ferienhaus in wunderschöner Lage

Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen in diesem tollen Haus verbracht. Die Beschreibung im Internet entsprach völlig den Tatsachen. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Wir könnten das Zentrum des Ortes Dolcedo mit Bäckerei, kleinem Lebensmittelgeschäft und verschiedene Restaurants und Pizzerien fußläufig innerhalb von 10 Gehminuten erreichen. Der Empfang bei Ankunft sowie die Kommunikation während des Aufenthaltes waren sehr herzlich und hilfreich. Zu den Stränden und Ausflugszielen in der Umgebung ist es nicht weit mit dem Auto. Vielen Dank, dass wir hier sein durften und vielleicht kommen wir ja wieder.

Große Wohnung in toller Umgebung

Die Wohnung bietet viel Platz und ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Umgebung - der Ort Dolcedo selbst aber auch die Imperia mit dem sehenswerten Stadtteil Porto Maurizio sind wunderschön.

Es war ein rundum gelungener Urlaub in einem sehr schönen Häuschen

Das Haus liegt idyllisch in Dolcedo und man erreicht den Marktplatz, einen super leckeren Italiener und viele Restaurants gut zu Fuß! Die Gegend ist wunderschön und wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Wir haben neue Freunde kennengelernt und waren sehr beeindruckt wie reibungslos alles mit Ankunft/Abreise, etc gegangen ist! Vielen Dank an die tollen Gastgeber und die überaus reizende Putzfrau!

Super gelegen & bestens ausgestattet

Wir haben im April 2023 eine Woche vor Ostern dort verbracht. Bis auf einen kleinen holprigen Start (Saison- Opening, das Checkin war etwas schwieriger) haben wir einen tollen Aufenthalt dort verbracht. Es fehlt an nichts in der Wohnung (ich könnte auch von „Haus“ sprechen, es entspricht eher dem Raumgefühl), die Einrichtung ist schlicht & wertig. Bei schönem Wetter kann man bereits ab 9:00 Uhr auf der Terrasse frühstücken und genießt dabei den schönen Blick auf den gegenüberliegenden bewaldeten Hügel. Die Wohnung ist sehr nah am kleinen Ortskern, alles ist fußläufig innerhalb von 5 Minuten zu erreichen und man hat keineswegs den Eindruck, am Ende der Welt zu sein. Die Umgebung ist angenehm ruhig. Wir (zwei Erwachsene und zwei Jugendliche) fanden Dolcedo ideal als Ausgangspunkt für verschiedene Aktivitäten in der Region: Menton (u.a. Jean Cocteau-Museum), Monte Carlo (Musée Océanographique), Ventimiglia, Imperia, Wanderung, oder, oder… Die drei Pizzerien im Ort sind alle zu empfehlen und absolut unkompliziert. Möchte man etwas feiner essen kann, man im benachbarten Feinschmecker-Restaurant „Casa della Rocca“ essen: ein Traum (ohne Kinder allerdings ;-))! Wir können diese Wohnung bedingungslos empfehlen.

Ein toller Ort

Wir hatten als Familie eine sehr schöne Zeit in der sehr schönen und gut ausgestatteten Ferienwohnung. Der Ort Dolcedo ist toll und wir haben es immer genossen, nach einem Tag am Meer zurück nach Dolcedo zu fahren. Besonders das Baden im Gumpen des Flusses oberhalb von Dolcedo war ein super Erlebnis für die ganze Familie! Gerne wieder!

Wundervolles Haus in bester Lage

Wundervolles Haus in bester Lage, hervorragend geeignet für eine vierköpfige Familie. Wir hatten bei der Ankunft erst kleinere Schwierigkeiten, das Haus zu finden, weil ein Kleinlaster vor dem Weg geparkt war. Aber dafür waren wir dann umso angenehmer überrascht, als wir die Tür aufgeschlossen haben. Das Haus ist geräumig und sauber und alles ist auf Gäste eingerichtet. Ausserhalb der Saison ist es etwas kompliziert, den Müll zu entsorgen, weil die Tonnen auf dem nahen Parkplatz seltener geöffnet werden. Aber zur Not nimmt man den Müll bei Ausflügen mit und entsorgt ihn in öffentlichen Mülltonnen. Im Oktober ist es morgens in Dolcedo noch etwas frisch und die Sonne erreicht die Terrasse dann nicht wirklich, aber es ist trotzdem sehr angenehm. Bis zum Marktplatz läuft man kaum 5 Minuten und dort kann ma in einem kleinen Lebensmittelladen das Nötige einkaufen und in den Restaurants ziemlich günstig essen. Die Pizzeria Fontanella war unser Favorit, trotz oder wegen des sehr unterhaltsamen Wirtes und des sehr guten Essens. Das Meer ist nicht weit und es gibt ein Büchlein, in dem auch neben einer "Bedienungsanleitung" für das Haus auch Anregungen für Ausflüge in die Umgebung gegeben werden. Alles in allem hatten wir eine schöne, entspannte Woche in Dolcedo und die Casa Catharina hat einen großen Teil dazu beigetragen.

Wir sind hier gern wieder hingekommen

das zweite Mal nach Sommer 2018 in Casa Catherina und das vierte Mal insgesamt in Dolcedo, fühlen wir uns sehr wohl in diesem kleinen, idyllischen Ort in Ligurien. Casa Catherina war uns sofort wieder vertraut, da es uns in guter Erinnerung geblieben ist. Wir werden gern wiederkommen.

hallo patrick, das haus ist eine wohlfühloase.. viel ruhe zum auftanken.. empfehlenswert .. man hat viele möglichkeiten fuer unternehmungen von strand (8km mit dem auto) bis wandern direkt von der haustüre los in die umgebung oder bis ins hinterland, nach alassio, oder bis kurz vorfrankreich .. gute informationen u hinweise durch den vermieter im vorfeld u auch in der kleinen bibliothek im haus erhalten.. wir kommen wieder. vlg eva

Great house in beautifull village

The house “Casa Catarina” is a great holliday home in the beautifull village of Dolcedo. We had all the things we needed, from the bank, chairs, kitchen table till the full equipped kitchen with even a Nespresso machine! What is mostly a problem with Holliday homes is the cleanly issue but here it wasn’t a issue at all. Everything was clean and I wasn’t afraid of using. The house was warm even in wintertime and the issue there was with the hot water was solved within a day. Anne who was our contact was wonderful and very quick in reaction. She took care of everything that was needed also to step in our car, when we didn’t read the instructions good and ended up ( as we were warned for) at the wrong end of the street, and made shure we managed to get it right. The fireplace is something that we want in a Holliday house was a nice and worked fine when we understood the working of the airstreams. When returning to the region we will again rent this beautiful house that suited our right in the Xmas and end of the year period.

Schönes Feriendomiziel in einem Ort, in dem die Zeit stehen geblieben ist.

Wir haben in dem Ferienhaus eine schöne Woche verlebt. Im Ort gibt es viele Möglichkeiten Essen zu gehen. Der Ort befindet sich im "Dornröschenschlaf". Es sind noch viele Häuser nicht saniert, was einen besonderen Charme hat. Das Meer ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen, Parkplätze sind jedoch rar. Die Wasserqualität ist hervorragend. Es empfiehlt sich am Abend eine Moskito- Lotion aufzutragen, da die nächtlichen Plagegeister beim Stechen dicke Beulen verursachen.
