Arrived at property and it was HOT (do not recommend staying in the summer months) and smelled like cat litter. It’s a pet friendly property (we did not bring our pets but love them!) and my husband had an immediate allergic reason to the pet smell/ dander. There were ants in the bathroom. We notified property manager and while they were accessible and responsive they were not helpful. We had to stay at a hotel in town and lost our payment and asked for a refund on the cleaning fee to no avail. Very disappointing as we stay in McCall all the time and use VRBO properties and this has never happened. Perhaps this is a great place in the winter months but musty, hot, and buggy in the summer months.

We loved the setting and location of this property. It was clean, the king bed extremely comfortable. The kitchen well-stocked. Comfortable living room. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would stay there again.

Cute little place

The house was perfect for us. We are here every year to snowmobile, and it can be tricky to find a place that can accommodate our large truck and trailer setup. This place was perfect for us and we plan to book again next year. The only snag we ran into was not having charcoal or lighter fluid for the grill that is provided. Not a huge issue just more of a heads up to avoid an emergency trip to the store at dinner time! We will be back for sure!

I stayed for 7 days while in the McCall area. Very good location, the house was comfortable with adequate accommodation and a nice yard. Could use a deeper cleaning around base boards, window sills and floor, overall general cleanliness was good, just more attention to detail. I would stay again and recommend it to others seeking an affordable place to stay in McCall.

Good little house but very cold.

The first night arriving to the house was very very cold. It was 8 degrees outside and the house only got to 40 degrees inside forcing us to all sleep on the couch together for body heat. It was miserable. We spent the night on the phone with vacasa with no help. The homeowner did bring space heaters the next day and they did help, but I have given vacasa a week to make this right and have gotten no response after 5 phone calls. it put a damper on our ski trip not getting any sleep the first night. other that than the house was nice and clean.

Beautiful home in a beautiful town

I loved my stay at Cottage in the Pines. The house was beautifully decorated and made me feel like I was home. The house was stocked with everything I needed for my stay. The bed I slept in was very comfortable. My dog loved the yard and all of the walking we did. I would highly recommend a stay here and will stay there again myself.

Cute and comfortable

We had a really nice stay. Loved the location in McCall. Close to a nice bike trail and all the stores and restaurants. My only complaint is there was a lot of dog hair found on blankets and pillows. We have a dog allergy so that was the only down side.

Clean and Comfortable great location

Great location for access to Brundage, Shore Lodge. Well stocked for the price. Could use another bathroom, and better guidance on heating process during winter but all worked out. Communication was great with maintenance and management. Still burdened by high fees but not unique to this property.

Winter vacation

The property met our needs inside and out. The fact that it was kept plowed out so we could fit both trucks and enclosed snowmobile trailers was great! We also appreciated the outdoor outlet so we could plug in the trailers! Inside, the ability to do a load of laundry was a plus. Lots of hooks and charging cords was a really nice touch. Thank you! We highly recomend this property.

Absolutely Gorgeous

I can’t put into words how great our stay was here! The check in process was so easy, they had everything outlined for us. The cleanliness of the place was great and felt like it was all brand new. The location was a 2 min walk to wherever we needed to go. Any questions I had were answered immediately. We absolutely loved staying here.

Amazing Getaway

Very cozy house we love it from the start!!! This made for an amazing vacation and helped create a memory that we will never forget. Only suggestion would be instructions on how to get the smart tv to work too a while for us to get it going.

So Cozy!!!!

I love the way the cabin is decorated and there is everything you need for cooking...just bring your own food! Very close to the main center of McCall and a short walk to the Lake and not far from Brundage (if they had snow!). Thank you to our hosts Bobbi and Ron. We slept comfortably and enjoyed or first time stay in McCall....we will be back....to stay at your house!!!!!!

Comfortable, Clean, and Lovely!

We rented Cottage in the Pines for a wedding weekend at Shore Lodge and it was the absolute perfect location (only a 3 minute walk). The home had all the amenities we could ask for- we enjoyed the BBQ and making dinner together, the open layout living room/kitchen was perfect for our group. We had unfortunate timing with the air quality, but the multiple fans in the home made up for the lack of AC (since we couldn't open the windows at night). Overall amazing stay!

Our little cottage in the woods.

Very comfortable. We were just two and a dog. So had lots of room to spread out. Very comfortable bed room down stairs. Loved closeness to the lake beach park. Great Place thanks.

Perfect Place for our short getaway

The house was well stocked with needed items in the kitchen and bathroom. The weather was quite hot this year and we brought portable fans with us as there is not AC in the house. The location was covered snow too to go into town or up Warren Wagon.
