Just For the Shell of it! Boasts over 3500 square feet and allows everyone to spread out. Take the elevator or stairs to your over 2,500 square foot living space situated on the second level, and provides a large open kitchen adjacent to a 900 square foot great room. The bottom floor is comprised of a 1,000 square foot game room that is air-conditioned and furnished with a pool table, television, and games. The home has full kitchen amenities and an extra fridge on the lower level. There is an extra-large master suite with a king bed, large tv, a private deck with a spacious bathroom with a soaking tub. Additionally, the master bedroom provides access to the six-foot privacy fenced back yard to let your pets roam. The master and one other bedroom also have limited ocean views. There are two queen bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom. The fourth bedroom has a full-size bed and a connected bathroom. The fifth bedroom has a twin daybed and a tv. The great room has a 70-inch tv and a large open concept. The front porch has a gate for your pets at the top of the stairs, sofa and high-top table to enjoy the outdoors. Head down to the lower level in the elevator to the game room which boasts a sleeper sofa, tv, pool table, pacman game, game table, and plenty of room to relax on the occasional rainy day. The elevator has plenty of room for all of your luggage and vacation needs. A huge outdoor shower awaits after a day on the beach with hot and cold water with plenty of privacy. The house has plenty of parking and is only three houses from the ocean and is equipped with a standard electrical vehicle charger. The home's great location is just two blocks from Freeman park, a great beach that allows four-wheel vehicles. Carolina Beach is a family-friendly town with great restaurants, a wonderful boardwalk area, a lake with a walking path, a state park, boat ramps, surf and deep-sea fishing, bike paths, access to the ICC to put in Kayaks, and many other island amenities. You are 10 miles from Wilmington, NC with all of its attractions. This truly is a year-round beach town perfect for your family geaway!

Well, the grands kept asking if we could live here! This home is spacious, clean, elevator a plus, bedrooms easily parceled out, and all rooms nicely decored. The lower level rec room was perfect for games, pool table, chalks for the littles and plenty of seating. Onsite laundry, so handy! We did have to Google how to use an induction cooktop stove, but once we mastered that delicious meals were made. Close walk to Carolina Beach, and close drives to all the places we wanted to go to! Highly recommend Just for the Shell of It!

Beautiful Home Away from Home; Perfection All the Way Around

This gorgeous home has everything you need for a great beach vacation! This home is perfect for a family or a group of friends. Short walk to the beach, gorgeous kitchen and family room for gathering, game room downstairs. Upon arrival, load up the elevator and unpack once it’s upstairs. Totally unload in one trip and zero steps! We have rented MANY VRBO homes and this home certainly ranks in FIRST place! We highly recommend with ZERO hesitation!!!

This was a perfect beach house! Everything was super clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything we needed for a little light cooking while on vacation. It was so nice not to have to bring beach chairs and towels as those were all provided! And, so close to the beach - very easy walk.

A great beach experience!

Great home with all you could ask for when heading to a beach location. And, most importantly, very clean and well kept. Don't always find this on a beach trip. The dogs loved it as well. Elevator was a definite plus on packing in and out. Finally, the short walk to the beach, and 2 block drive to the 4 wheel beach, provided the best for the beach life.

Perfect house for gatherings

We really enjoyed this house. The elevator from the first floor to the second floor was an unexpected surprise and a great help for the Senior in our party. The first floor game room was perfect for all the teenage boys. If you rent this house bring your 4 wheel drive vehicles so you can drive out on the beach at the end of the road. It is a very short distance to that part of the beach. House is well stocked with beach towels, beach chairs, and beach games. We are coming back!

I am a born and bred beach girl who grew up near Ocean City , MD. I have always loved the beach and have passed that love down to our two daughters and 4 grandchildren. Our oldest daughter introduced my husband and I to Carolina Beach years ago and there was no looking back, we were hooked! This property was our first purchase in Carolina Beach and we love it. I hope you do too. We wake up with a smile on our faces every morning and you will too. We also live on the island, so we can respond to issues quickly.

Why they chose this property

This is the ideal beach house with large rooms for your family to gather together, but enough space for time alone if desired. It has large bedrooms, a 30x30 great room, large kitchen that is well equipped, fabulous front porch to gather and a huge lower level to play pool, games, puzzles, or watch tv. the master bedroom has a large bathroom, an office nook for working and a small private deck with access to the backyard. With this house, the occasional rain shower will not dampen the fun. The fenced in backyard is perfect for kids to play in or your dog to roam. Just For The Shell Of It is one block from Freeman Park, where you can, for a fee, drive onto the beach with your four wheel drive or walk on for free. It is also one block from the Carolina Beach pier. and you are only 4 houses from the beach. The island provides so many options for enjoyment. You have a state park, boat/paddle board/kayak ramps, bike paths, boardwalk, aquarium, surf fishing, bike rentals, surf lessons, skate park, great food, boat tours, deep sea fishing, Fort Fisher museum, ferry on the south end back to Southport and the mainland, fireworks every Thursday in the summer, movies at the lake, a weekly market at the lake, paddleboats, and best of all, SAND SURF and SUN! that is all on the island. Leave the island and you have Wilmington within 10 miles. An island that does not close down for the winter and has all the friendliness and charm of the Carolinas.
