Exceptional property

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights. It was tranquil, clean, well restored and a real piece of local history. We loved the view, the pool was beautiful, and the kitchen was well equipped. There were so many interesting historical aspects to the home as well, balanced with modern upgrades as well. Definitely recommend.

Stunning holiday property!

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautifully restored historic property for a week in early September. The setting is tranquil and picturesque, the town conveniently close, and history is everywhere, with the fascinating Lascaux caves only minutes away. The chateau was thoughtfully supplied with everything we could need, and the pool and gardens were absolutely delightful and very peaceful. We enjoyed the benefits of the many lovely bars and restaurants in Montignac. We will definitely be returning!

Late summer vacation

What a fabulous time we had! The house was immaculate, and very well equipped. So much space, and tranquility. Close to the local town, which was within east walking distance. A thoroughly enjoyed trip.

Charming and Comfortable Property ideally located for exploring the area.

This is a beautifully restored manner house full of charm and character. The bedrooms are large, cool, airy and comfortable with lovely interesting wallpaper. The large bathrooms are bestowed with modern showers and facilities. The kitchen and living areas are great too with all the equipment needed in a home away from home. The outdoor area and swimming pool overlooking the peaceful countryside, fields and cows is relaxing and therapeutic with plenty of shade to enjoy a sundowner or outdoor meal. The house is only about a 20 minute walk down country roads to the nearby village of Montignac with restaurants, bakeries etc. We all had a wonderful relaxing week exploring this part of the Dordogne from a very comfortable home. Thanks Guillaume for a very enjoyable stay.

Idyllic Beauty

The house is an old property with lots of character, shutters, spiralling staircase, but with modern finishes: espresso machine, stove top etc. The pool is bliss, not chlorine but salt based and perfect for swimming with children. The location is a bucolic wonder, surrounded by woods and farms; cows roam, owls hoot and cicadas sing. The house is cool, even in 35 degree heat and the bedrooms and bathrooms beautiful, with storm showers. It's a 12 minute walk into Montignac, and a great place to explore the region and Dordogne. Lascaux is only 10 minutes drive away. There are also footpaths nearby leading into Aubas or the woods above the house. I'd highly recommend this place, and the hosts are very responsive if you have questions. Highly recommend.

Einfach nur traumhaft!

Wir hatten das große Glück, dieses sensationelle Haus mieten zu können und haben hier einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war super. Er hat uns zur Anreise auch dort empfangen und uns alles gezeigt. Das Haus ist wirklich etwas absolut besonderes, mit ganz viel Liebe saniert. Außerdem ist es perfekt gelegen. Ruhig und man ist wirklich für sich allein, aber man kann auch gemütlich bis in den Ort Montignac laufen. Perfekt! Ich fahre normalerweise nicht zweimal in die gleiche Unterkunft. Aber bei diesem Haus könnte ich eine Ausnahme machen!

Sejour exceptionnel

Sejour en tout point parfait. La renovation de cette maison a ete réalisée avec énormément de goût, tout en respectant l esprit des lieux et dans un souci de confort quel que soit la piece de vie dans laquelle on.évolue. Cuisine parfaite et très bien équipée pour un sejour en famille ( ou entre amis bien sûr !) Bonus pour l accueil particulièrement sympathique. La localisation est absolument parfaite : un calme parfait tout en étant à 15 min a pied de l essentiel et bien sûr énormément d activités à proximité. Tous les éléments sont reunis pour le plus.grand bonheur de chacun !

Belle douceur Périgourdine

Notre séjour au Mas d'Aubas a été très agréable. Le lieu est très doux, avec une belle vue sur la campagne, animée par quelques oiseaux et bovins. Ce mas a le charme des vielles pierres mais il rénové avec goût et qualité. L'hôte a été attentif et réactif aux inévitétables petits soucis. Bref, ce fut une douce pause estivale en ce Périgord que nous ne connaissions pas et qui a plein d'atouts. Merci.
