Home Away from Home

We had a small group of 5 men in town for a week. Although we just needed some place to sleep, we found this house to be amazingly comfortable. Beds were great and the host thought of everything. Plus the host’s communication was excellent.

Great rental home!

My husband, two sons, my mom and I visited family in Vancouver and this home was a great fit for us. The living room was a good size as was the kitchen. The game room in the garage was a lot of fun (even though it was super cold in there) and each bedroom was decently sized. The owner provided helpful suggestions of where to eat and shop and was extremely communicative throughout our stay. We enjoyed the home and I recommend this rental for anyone visiting the Vancouver area.

Great space, location and experience!

I was really happy with the accuracy of the listing and pictures. The house was really clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked and even had extra spices and condiments which was nice. The host has special greeting cards/signs and candy by every bed. The little special touches were very nice and thoughtful and was very appreciated. The game room was perfect for my kids! I LOVED the no shoe policy! It's exactly how I keep my home so I felt at ease that the house was clean. We would absolutely stay again!

Great house

The house was great. Very good condition, clean, quiet neighborhood. I like the option of having a whole house to rent vs. just a hotel with not as much things for you. For example, you can do your laundry while on vacation. I like that the hostess had games available for her guests. Nice covered porch area also, to enjoy coffee/tea in the morning with a book. Or maybe have a nice meal cooked on the available grill. I also appreciate the rule of no shoes. Made for much cleaner floors. Very much a nice at home feeling. I did meet the hostess also. Not a requirement, but she is very nice. I most definitely would stay at her Vrbo home again given the opportunity. You won't regret your choice to stay at this home.

Great with one consideration

It is very clear that Elena tries very hard to put thoughtful touches in her house for her guests. She also emailed me to give me suggestions of possible activities that might interest us. I really want to recognize her efforts. The house was very clean, very comfortable, and very well maintained. I will say the only downside to this property (and this might be because we were there during the polar vortex and couldn’t leave due to most businesses being closed) the quiet hours are early. I’m not sure if she has cameras or neighbors, but I got a message from her at 9:20 reminding me of rental rules. Visitors are expected to be quiet and inside by 9 pm. It’s not a big deal to me because I’m in bed by 8, but in the event you are a night owl, looking at this place as somewhere you and friends could potentially hang out, or if you enjoy sharing adult beverages together, this might not be a good match. This would’ve been a non issue for me, but again, we were not able to socialize away from the house so for my older children traveling with us, this became a source of stress for me. The house is in a neighborhood, and I do understand her early quiet hours and can appreciate the respect and consideration she has for her neighbors. Lastly, buy the accidental damage policy for this house. There are little notes asking visitors to be careful sitting in certain chairs as there is a potential to cause damage.

Quilting retreat

Three of us wanted to get away for a couple days and do some quilt-shopping. Vancouver was the perfect spot for us as was the house. We each wanted our own room, and this house had everything we wanted or needed. Elena was immediately responsive to any questions or concerns we had. It was a perfect get-away for us, and we'll be recommending this to our friends.

A fabulous home and stay!

We stay at vrbos quite often and this by far was the best experience. The home had a very welcoming feeling. Elena asked if we were coming for any particular reason and we mentioned it was my son's graduation. She not only decorated the table for a celebration, but also wrote my son the sweetest graduation card. So many personal touches that she gave us. It truly was the best place we have ever stayed at, because of Elena.
