About this property
Lake front Cabin: Modern, Comfortable, Secluded. Great fishing & boating.
Modern cabin set on the beautiful Moose Lake, known for its clear waters and excellent fishing. With property bordering the Chippewa National Forest, you can relax as you sip coffee from your screened-in porch or fish from the dock. The pretty outdoor space provides room for grilling and enjoying the clean air. When the sun goes down, go for a night swim or make memories (and s'mores!) around the campfire ring. Breathe in the scent of nature and listen to the birds and frogs play nearby. For those who still like to be connected to the outside world, we have created a "smart cabin", complete with Wifi, a large T.V. with Roku (including Netflix and Hulu), Alexa, and even a bluetooth bathroom fan so you can listen to your favorite music while taking a shower. Inclement weather? Snuggle up on the couch and turn on the fireplace, make yourself coffee from the coffee bar, and play one of the family games that we have provided. Situated in the middle of the three resort towns of Bemidji, Blackduck, and Cass Lake, our cabin is just a short drive away to many area lakes, beaches, parks and trails. In the fall, hunt the adjacent forest. In the winter, ice-fishing is popular on Moose Lake. We will consider it a gift to host you and your loved ones and can't wait for you to make your own wonderful family memories. Pet fees: $25/day per pet, pending approval of pet. Pontoon rental: Pontoon available May-September

Fast and easy communication. Pontoon rental a huge plus! Peaceful and secluded location with great fishing. Bass, sunnies and perch all caught from the dock!
We had a wonderful stay! The location was quiet and relaxing. The house was beautiful and stocked with everything you could need. Alisa was so friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. We'd definitely love to come back!

Cassandra,
Thank you for your kind words; you were an amazing guest and we hope to see you again!
In spite of the once in a generation storm, we really loved staying at this incredibly peaceful lake cabin. Very comfortable and great amenities. Host went above and beyond. Can't wait to come back!
We had the best weather and saw more loons than people! The lake is so quiet and we caught fish right off the dock! Renting the boat was also great to explore the lake. We loved everything about our stay!
What an amazing stay! Beautifully decorated cabin with all of the necessary amenities and extras! Such a nice, private location on lake! Loved having coffee on the screened in porch, sitting at the end of the dock catching all kinds of fish with my son! Kayaks and paddle boards were so fun! Loved watching the loons and didn’t have to worry about people, didn’t see any! Hosts responded immediately to our questions via text!l Also has great WiFi! Great kitchen window view! Just overall incredible time!
Our stay was quite relaxing and just about perfect! The cabin was Cozy and well equipped for our family. The lake was full of fish and with access to kayaks and the pontoon boat we had so much fun.

The family had a blast swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The lake is quiet without much traffic. The water is clear, lots of lillys, sunnie's, bass. Property manager was easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back.
This property is a hidden gem! Gorgeous location nestled on the edge of the Chippewa National forest, secluded and scenic. Our family of 3 and our dog loved sitting outside on the dock watching the loons, having fires, hanging out in the hammocks and even got a glimpse of the Northern Lights while stargazing. Loved the sitting area on the dock for morning coffee and sunsets. Indoors we had enough space, and enjoyed the screened-in porch as well.
Host communication was EXCELLENT - especially with ideas for stores, restaurants etc since there isn’t much nearby. Beds were comfy, space was clean and we enjoyed the Wi-Fi and TV for movies one day. We would definitely stay again!

Erin,
We LOVED hosting you! We can't wait for you to come back; we've finished the walk-out level and have another bathroom, laundry room, bunk set, another living area, as well as arcade games and a fireplace. We think you'd love it!

We are very particular with where we stay. The property was clean and had everything we needed and more! The beds were very comfortable and the washer and dryer were a total plus! The boat landing is close. The water is clear, clean and a dream! The teenagers fully enjoyed the kayak's and paddle boards. The fire pit was AMAZING!!!! They have a flat iron grill that makes the best pancakes and steaks. The hammocks were enjoyable as well for an afternoon nap. Anyone looking for a private get a way with all the amenities of home, this this the place. Would recommend to all! Communication with oweners was top notch!

This cabin shows in person exactly as it does in the pictures. It was clean, decorated cute, and very comfortable for our family of 5. The painted shiplap decor is a nice change from the usual all wood cabins and makes it feel cleaner and brighter. The screen porch was instantly our favorite room to enjoy the sounds of nature without getting a single bug bite! Our kids (16, 13, and 7) were able to keep busy all week. Right off the shore we were able to swim, kayak, paddle board, and even catch fish off the dock. The internet in the cabin was very fast and was handy to be able to sneak in some work (unfortunately) while we were there. The streaming apps on the TV were also great to be able to watch family movies during our down time.
We rented the pontoon for the week and it was an "oldie but goody". It worked great for our family. It was super reliable and very large, so we were happy to have the space to spread out while fishing and, most importantly, room for our dog to join us! The owners were very easy to get ahold of and were super hosts. Alisa was super responsive to our texts during the booking process and while we were at the cabin. Patrick made a visit to fix something small that was broke on the boat. We happened to be using the boat at the time, so he yelled "stay there and I'll come to you". He then proceeded to get on a paddle board with his power tools and paddled a couple hundred feet out to our boat to fix the issue. Now that's service!
We highly recommend this cabin and would definitely like to go back again someday.

We were very happy with our stay here! The cabin is at the end of a road, and we greatly appreciated being away from road noise. Moose Lake, too, was quiet. The cabin had everything we needed, including some things we hadn’t thought to bring, such as marshmallow toasting forks. We enjoyed the kayaks, the pontoon, the screen porch and the outdoor grill. Great communications with owner before and during our stay. I’m very glad we found this place!
The cabin was charming, clean, and well-appointed. It is situated on a beautiful lake with adequate wooded seclusion. We had the perfect late summer getaway, our pups loved swimming in the lake, we had fun kayaking and stand up paddle boarding, and we enjoyed s’mores by the campfire every night. Easy communication process, no issues at all, we highly recommend this property and would return.
This cabin was everything we hoped for! It was beautiful, private and had all the conveniences. Alisa and Pat were super helpful and attentive. The star of the show is the lake and we had both the boat and the screen porch to enjoy it. It was hot while we were there but the cabin was always cool and inviting. Can’t wait to stay next year for a longer time! Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed the quiet of just being at the lake. The outside areas, from the patio to the boat dock, were set up beautifully. It was obvious someone took the time to think about the setup of the yard. Our dog especially loved jumping off the dock. Amazingly, the window air conditioner, with a few fans, kept the house cool. During most of the week, it felt like we were the only ones at the lake.
This cabin was perfect for our family's ice fishing getaway. There was pleanty of room for our 2 small families and our 2 dogs. Since we knew the location was remote we arrived prepared to have all our meals at the cabin, we had no issues with storage of all our food or preparing anything. There were enough pots and pans and dishes to accommodate all of us along with a lighlty stocked pantry of items we forgot, like salt and pepper and some condiments. There were enough towels and bedding provided along with a washer and dryer to make things even easier. The added space heaters and electric fireplace were so nice when we got back from ice fishing, we were all able to warm up fast. Keeping the cabin warm was never an issue even in the brutle cold we had for 2 days of our trip. We were able to walk right out on the lake and fish from the cabin or drive to the nearby landing with all our gear and unlaod there. The fishing was great and we had fresh crappies for dinner. We only had 1 small issue with the coffee pot on the coffee station but were able to use the other coffee pot provided. I let the host know of the issue and she responded right away. We never had any other issues needing our host but I know if we did she would have handled it right away, her communicaton through out the entire process was outstanding. We are looking forward to returning in the near future.
My husband & I had such an awesome time at this cabin with our son, daughter in law, and grandchildren, ages 3& 5. The cabin is located on a quiet, private spot on Moose Lake where you only hear the noise of loons, birds, the wind in the trees & the laughter of your grandchildren playing in the water or running around outside or playing with the toys available to them. This cabin has been thought out very well - so many amenities! I brought things from home that I never needed, like towels, hand soap, etc. The water was still clear in August & swimming was such fun. The screened in porch is nice for sitting outside without the company of mosquitoes!! The beds are comfortable & the WIfi is great & the fishing was too! I could go on, but you should really try it for yourself- although I hope you don’t take our spot for next year! 😊
Great little cabin up north , it is pretty far out so make sure you have everything you need! Clean lake great fishing! Pontoon was nice! The outdoor patio with flat grill was great for all our meals! Everything worked as it should! Great memories were made!

About the host
Hosted by Alisa McNallan
Patrick and I purchased this unfinished cabin in 2018 and transformed it into a family-friendly oasis. As parents of 7 children, we wanted a place that would be a private getaway where the kids would be free to swim, play, relax, and fish to their hearts' content. We have made so many family memories here already, and we know that you will, too.
Why they chose this property
Nestled in the northwoods but with completely modern amenities, you will experience all that nature has to offer: trails to explore, birds chirping, frogs croaking, gentle breezes, and the fresh, woodsy smell of the neighboring Chippewa National Forrest, which borders our property. Enjoy the lake: boating, swimming, kayaking, floating, or fishing. In the wintertime, experience the wonders of ice-fishing! Summer mornings are the perfect time to sip hot coffee in the screened-in porch as you watch and hear loons on the lake.
We fully stock our cabin so that you may just enjoy your time here. Everything from full kitchen amenities to bath and beach towels, from family games to books for every age, is included for your enjoyment.
What makes this property unique
We chose this property because it is so private, serene, and secluded. You will feel as if you are in a different world. The lake is very quiet, and the fishing is wonderful. We can't wait to share our little retreat with you.
