Our charming guesthouse is ideally located on the “Chemin des Peintres,” the famous Paris-London bike route.
You’ll be just a stone’s throw from La Halte de Chaponval, a local institution in Auvers, and from the Chaponval train station, served by bus 9507 and the H train line.
There’s also free parking available in front of the station.

The accommodation consists of a living room, a kitchen with a dining area, a bedroom with a walk-in closet, and an adjoining bathroom/laundry room.

The CHAPONVAL area is world-renowned and visited by many tourists of all nationalities, thanks to the paintings by Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, and Camille Pissarro—many of the sites depicted in their works are still recognisable today.

The main attractions are:

“Les chaumes de Chaponval,” located on Rue et Sente du Gré in Chaponval, painted by Vincent van Gogh in 1890 and still much the same today. They were the subject of two paintings of the same name.

“Le Castel Val,” a turn-of-the-century mansion built in 1903 by architect Hector Guimard (the famous architect of the Paris Metro). This remarkable building is now privately owned and has been listed as a historic monument since December 2006.

“La Halte de Chaponval,” a favourite spot of Vincent van Gogh, is now a high-quality Italian restaurant where the people of Auvers love to dine—myself included!

“The banks of the Oise,” a popular walking spot where you can take a stroll with your family and make your way from Chaponval to city centre Auvers-sur-Oise or to Pontoise.

“L’île de Vaux,” located across from the Chaponval area, was painted on several occasions by the landscape painter Charles-François Daubigny. A natural setting frequented by many painters at the turn of the century.
