Spacious Serene Sanctuary-Minutes to SF and Muir Woods
Please Read Before Booking
Our 4-bedroom, 2-bath home is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood. It’s best suited for families, mature travelers, and small, quiet groups.
This is a peaceful home—not a party house. We do not allow parties, events, or gatherings with outside guests.
If you’re looking for a lively, social, or late-night setting, this may not be the right fit. We ask all guests to be mindful of noise at all times, both day and night.
Quiet Hours & Noise Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM Please keep noise low at all times, including during the day No amplified music, indoors or outdoors
There is a separate in-law unit located below the living room (not part of this listing, with its own private entrance). For this reason, we especially appreciate extra care with noise in the living room, dining area, and kitchen during quiet hours.

Our home comfortably accommodates up to 6 registered guests, which is included in the base rate.
Additional guests: $100 per person, per day Only registered guests are allowed on the property at any time

About the host
Hosted by Tasha and Rob
Hi, we’re Tasha and Rob. We feel grateful to live in such a peaceful yet conveniently located corner of Mill Valley, and we’re happy to share our home with you when we’re out of town.
Tasha is a mindfulness teacher who spends much of her time gardening, cooking, writing, and meditating.
Rob is a psychotherapist, professor, and writer. Sharing a deep love of nature, we often lead mindfulness-based workshops together—sometimes right here in the backyard.
Why they chose this property
Our home is tucked away on a quiet, secluded drive in a peaceful neighborhood. At night, you may hear coyotes in the distance, while deer often wander through the street.
The house itself has a deeply calming quality. It’s a safe and tranquil place where, after dark, the sky opens up—stars bright above, the moon quietly shining.
During the day, you might catch hummingbirds flitting through the garden, or, in season, monarch butterflies pausing on the lawn as they pass through on their annual migration.
Just a short drive away, you’ll find health food stores, pharmacies, dance studios, and a local pottery studio.
What makes this property unique
Set right at the edge of 22,000 acres of protected wildland, the home offers immediate access to hundreds of miles of trails. Step outside and you’ll find a garden in bloom—morning glories, daisies, roses, calla lilies, and hydrangeas gently unfolding with the seasons.
Despite its peaceful setting, the location is wonderfully central. It’s about a 15-minute drive to San Francisco, 12 minutes to Green Gulch Zen Center and Muir Woods National Monument, and 15 minutes to Muir Beach. Just a few minutes away, downtown Mill Valley offers a charming mix of cafés, international restaurants, and local shops.
From nearby Sausalito, you can take the ferry into San Francisco, or visit a stone labyrinth perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific. Mount Tamalpais is close by, with miles of breathtaking trails for hiking, trail running, or simply wandering.
Mill Valley is often ranked among the most beloved small towns in the U.S.—quiet, quaint, and surrounded by natural beauty. It’s a place where outdoor life is part of everyday rhythm, with biking, hiking, and kayaking all within minutes. The town also has a vibrant arts and music scene, with galleries, live performances at Sweetwater Music Hall, and shows at the Throckmorton Theatre.
