We had a project up there so we had a couple of employees up there for a few days. They enjoyed the cabin. It suited our purpose completely.

The guys really loved the place. They liked the property and the quietness. They’re there now, as a matter of fact. We have a couple of job sites over there, and this place is perfect.
This place was perfect. Very comfortable, Hosts are extremely nice people, friendly, felt like I’d known them for years, enjoyed talking with them, their knowledge of the area added to our trip. Very close to any type of outdoor recreation you could want. Place itself is exactly what we wanted. Comfortable after a long day outdoors. Felt like I really was able to unwind and relax. Will without question be back and stay here.

We enjoyed our stay! Property was clean and host was friendly and accommodating. We were provided with everything we needed and cooking utensils and furniture were suitable for our needs. Nice place if you have a small group that wants more of your own space while still being together and cost effective. Definitely will come back again!
The cabin was just perfect for six of us who were up for hunting. Everything was exactly as advertised and the host was very friendly and always available.
Very clean, well-maintained, The owners bend over backwards to make your stay memorable. The most incredible thing is the silence. The only time I have experienced this much silence was in the bottom of the Grand Canyon. The drinking water here is fantastic and if you have a dog, this is an outstanding place for it. Lots of freedom. Bring food with you it’s 45 minutes to the grocery store. There’s a good convenience store about 7 miles away. this is the country with an!!! personally I love this place. I would recommend it to anybody that wants to get away from it all.
We had the best time in Fence - it reminded us of home with the quietness and friendly people. The property was clean and perfect size for our family of 4. We were lucky to have great weather and so much to do in the surrounding areas. We appreciated the games and snacks. It was nice to catch up with the owners who live next door and get their advice on roads to take etc. We had the best experience at The Fence Post too! Thanks for everything!

Fence Cabin
This property is great for ATVers and snowmobilers looking for close trails. A trail actually goes right past the place. However, this site is RURAL with nothing to do for anyone other than ATVers, snowmobilers, hunters or anyone seeking complete solitude. I wish I had realized that before renting so this comment is for those future renters expecting more. The closest town is miles away. The accommodations are BASIC. Probably not the most comfortable for stays longer than a long weekend. I suggest the owners invest in some new furniture for the living space since the most comfortable place to sit was at the dining room table.

Not a private cabin
This "cabin" is actually a converted or add-on to a garage. The owners are a mere feet away. They actually walked in on us, from the door to the garage, as we were unloading from the car through the front door. Granted, we were about 15 minutes early, but after driving more than 5 hrs we figured it was good timing. The owners were showing the cabin to friends. They were friendly, but it was disconcerting to have them just walk right in. Never felt comfortable after that, expecting them to show up again. They park a few vehicles on the lot, one right under the bedroom windows. At 1st glance the cabin seemed very clean but the toilet and floor in front of the shower were dirty. There is also a very large political flag in the yard. Not appropriate, in my opinion, for a rental. The snack baskets and bottled water were a very nice touch. The "cabin" is cute and well done, deer in the fields around it and cattle across the road. A nice setting, just lacking the expected privacy.

Susanne we appreciate your feedback and we take your comments/suggestions very seriously, we apologize that we did not make your stay as great as an experience as possible, we hope you will give us a second chance down the road. Our family Cabin however is absolutely and always has been Private! All of the previous reviews and comments from out past guest will confirm and attest that we work our very hardest as a family to create as natural, clean, and comfortable an environment as possible for our guest. The Cabin is not an add-on to a garage however, it’s just a Regular Cabin w/ a garage which we advertise in our listing so if Families, Hunters or Workers in the area need to store kayaks, fishing poles, hunting equipment, building materials or tools and keep them out of the elements they have a safe place to store their items. We’ve also have had multiple guest park vehicles, ATV’s and Snowmobiles in the garage, which is very important to a lot of guest when they plan their visit. On the Privacy issue we always 100% respect everyone’s right to Privacy we have never had any comment like this prior, and again we apologize that you felt uneasy and uncomfortable it is very hard to rebuild that trust we absolutely understand! Like you did mentioned in your review you & your guest did arrive a bit early, which we do not have a problem with usually had we communicated on an early arrival, we would of absolutely approached things differently and adjusted our schedule on showing the local Church the property and Cabin at a different time. But by no means did we purposefully or intentionally mean for both parties to be put in that situation, we hope you do not believe we did. It was just a simple lack of communication and misunderstanding. We again have taken your comments to Heart and have went through the Cabin multiple times since your departure with a fine tooth comb and toothbrush to make sure these type of reviews never happen again. We are glad that you enjoyed the snacks/waters and had a chance to see some local wildlife, cattle and deer in the backyard during your stay! We hope you also got a chance to learn a little more about your family tree and family history while you visited. We wish you & your family the Best of Luck from Wisconsin!
Great hosts. Loved our stay. Can’t wait to stay again.

Great place to stay if your in the area for Waterfalls
Had a great experience here. It was a perfect size for my family of 4 and had all the amenities you would need for your stay. Met the owner upon check in. He was a friendly guy that new the area very well. If your looking to get away, see waterfalls, hunt, fish, atv, etc. This is a great spot to stay in the area. Would come stay again in the future.
Clean, quiet, cozy. Any cookware, silverware, condiments, seasoning, oils, etc., you'd ever need were provided by host. And bonus -- bottled water and candy/chips also provided! Highly recommend.
We enjoyed a UTVing weekend for the 4th at this location! 4 adults and a pup and it was perfect! We enjoyed the accessibility of the trails directly from the property. Cabin was very clean and having the cows across the street was neat as well as Bison just up the road! Beds were very comfy and cabin is wifi equipped! Thank you to the hosts for a great stay! We hope to come again!!
It was quiet, comfortable, and everything we needed for a short stay. Owners were incredibly accomodating and friendly. We're always nervous about bringing our kids places; we can be loud 😊, but they were incredibly understanding. Our dog was so happy to have a playmate for the week!!
