Cute Bungalow w/small pool! Absolutely Beach Front!


This home has a large open living room and kitchen with tons of cabinets and a huge breakfast bar with five bar stools plus a dining table for 6. There are 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms all on one floor. Two bedrooms and one bath on each side of the house is perfect for 2 families to each have their own side. Two of the king bedrooms open directly to the deck with sliding doors, overlooking the beautiful beach. One back room has a king bed and the fourth bedroom has two twins. No fold out couches. We offer a pack and play for infants/toddlers with an upgraded 3” mattress. And we have an extra twin mattress under one of the twin beds in the fourth room that you can pull out for a total of 3 twin mattresses. Interior was just updated in 2021 with new furniture, decor and appliances. TV’s in all bedrooms. There is cabinet of games and puzzles and many books for you to read as you relax.
Walk right out onto the sand from the deck with just steps to the water and there is a cocktail pool located under the house. Pool Measures 9.5 x 20 and is 4 feet deep with sitting ledge.

**Please be aware that this house does NOT have a tub. There are two showers, so please keep that in mind when booking with young kids if that is important to you.

Family vacation

We really enjoyed out stay, 6 adults and 3 kids. Everything was clean and house layout was great. Perfect access to beach and the kids LOVED the small pool. Only complaint was that some of the wood on front and back patio really needs replaced.

The beach house was clean and easy to use . The king-size beds were very comfortable. All the instructions from the host were very clear and helpful. The only issues that we had were that we wished the back porch was covered, and the screws are coming out of the back steps, so we had to be very careful walking up and down the stairs. The beach was absolutely beautiful!

Melissa' place is in a great location just steps from the water! There was plenty of space for 3 couples and it was so nice to have 3 king size beds. Kitchen was a nice size and had everything you'd need.

Beautiful location

The location couldn’t be better! You step off the deck and you are on the beach. The inside of the house was perfect for our family. Everyone has their own space. The front porch and back deck need a little work, but I believe the hosts are aware. We would definitely book again.

Perfect location!

Spent a glorious week with children and grandchildren. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Storage had floats, toys, etc. Cabinet full of games, puzzles, books, and DVD’s. Very responsive owner. Added to our favorites! Pool was perfect size for small children. Great seating area by pool where we relaxed while supervising kid.

Beachfront plus cocktail pool

This property was perfect for our group of 5. We had everything we need with extra supplies when we arrived ! Only suggestion would be to have some type cover for the patio , it does get warm during the day. We can’t wait to go back !

WE would love a cover over that deck too and tried to get it done 😁 but at the time we were doing the roof they couldn’t get us on the books for the engineer approval that was backed up. (Covid issue) Maybe sometime in the future though! Luckily we have the covered area around the pool and I hope you enjoyed that little reprieve. Boscos was great!!

Location, location, location!!! Awesome to walk from deck directly onto beach and 25 yards to Gulf! Pool was nice refresher from the August heat. House is older and could use some updating with soft spots throughout in the flooring but we will definitely try to get back because the LOCATION is fantastic!

The house is in the perfect spot for the beach. The deck needs to be replaced, the boards were very loose. For the most part the house was clean but the front door hasn't been cleaned in awhile. The ice maker didn't work so we had to buy ice. All in all the house was good for us just not kept up very well.

We do hope to install the separate ice machine as soon as winter comes and we have time without renters. And we agree, the back deck needs to some repair….so we are replacing the whole deck this winter! And making it larger we hope, if code doesn’t stand in our way. We were so impressed with this house; it was very clean. There were some soft spots on the floor but other than that is was a perfect house to stay in. There was plenty of beach and pool toys. The kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such an amazing time.

Right on the water!!!

This was just a few steps from the water and we absolutely loved it! The outside could use a paint job and we were worried when we pulled up, but the inside was delightful. I am sure the outside takes a beating so it was easily overlooked especially when we saw how close we were to the water. We loved it!!!!

Absolutely loved, want to go again!

Melissa is great! You can not beat the location! Let me repeat nothing is better than being right on the beach, especially with little ones! Little pool was so fun for them too, felt refreshing during our stay in July. Outdoor shower and hoses definitely came in handy! All the beds were super comfy. Neighborhood was so pleasant. We like being away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy beach scene, but within a quick drive to have some fun in Gulf Shores.

If you want a pure beach experience, visit Boscos.

We stayed Thanksgiving week at Boscos. The size and layout was perfect for two couples and one adult child. It was closer to the water than we gathered from the add which was a welcome plus. Quiet with minimal beach traffic. It is an older property (though it has been updated) so if you’re looking for brand new, this may not be the place for you. We found it reminiscent of childhood vacations at the beach and just what we were looking for. We would definitely go back.

Perfect family beach house!

Our beach vacation could not have been any better! This beach house exceeded our expectations. The house was clean, roomy, and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we could have needed. The living room was big enough for all 8 of us to hang out. Bedrooms were cozy and plenty big enough. The location was absolutely perfect! The check-in and check-out process was simple and owners were very responsive. We hated to leave this house and can’t wait to return again for future vacations. If I could give this rental 10 stars I would.

Family vacation young and old

This house was wonderful for eight adults and two children under two. Proximity to the beach and the covered pool is a real benefit. We had to do very little childproofing. The kitchen is very well equipped if you desire to cook. Our little ones quickly became used to “showering” since there isn’t a tub. Not such a problem. It was a very enjoyable vacation with multi generators.

Nice beachfront location but a bit old and dirty

Loved being right on the beach but the house itself is in need of some deep cleaning, maintenance, and updates. The split layout of the house was good for our group, but the bathrooms are quite small (especially the showers). Was good to have a full-size washer and dryer and a big refrigerator, but the ice maker in the fridge didn't work properly. The beds were comfortable, but the sofa was sagging and dirty. Kitchen was well-stocked, although some of the cabinets were junked up with mismatched kitchenware, a crockpot collection, etc. The pool was a nice bonus that the kids enjoyed when they needed a beach break. We also appreciated having lots of beach chairs, toys, floaties, etc. to use during our stay.

We are so sorry to hear that the cleaning may not have been up to par. We will definitely address that with the cleaning company. Not sure about the mismatched kitchenware, I will have to assess that because we have always had such great response to our home having a well stocked kitchen. I agree, that sofa has not held up to the four years of guest! We need to find one that can take the abuse of renters and last longer than just a few years. Check back with us!

Perfect Getaway

We spent Thanksgiving week here and had an amazing time! The house is well furnished with beautiful decor and a lot of open space. We prepared all our meals during our entire stay including Thanksgiving dinner. The kitchen is well stocked and even includes extras that past renters have left. This includes spices, aluminum foil etc. Melissa was always prompt to respond with any questions and even us accommodated with an early check in at our request. We look forward to coming back!

We are Melissa and Eddie and we just added Boscos Beach Bungalow to our already popular Melonheads Beach House located just three doors down. This cute little four bedroom had the name "Watters Edge" from previous owners but we will be changing the name to Bosco’s Beach Bungalow. It is named after our dog Bosco that was with us for 16 years and passed away right before we bought this house.
We have been coming to the beach together for 36 years and have enjoyed the beaches of Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan for over 25 years of that. We dreamed of owning a beach house for many years and were so excited to go under contract with our first home in 2018. We are now adding a second option with Boscos Bungalow and it is only a few houses down from Melonheads, which is a 5 bedroom 3.5 bath home that accommodates 12. VRBO 1521626

Why they chose this property

We did not plan to buy a house when this opportunity presented itself to us. Hurricane sally made a mess that the previous owners just didn’t want to deal with anymore. We bought the house in 2021 and started the renovations from floor to ceiling! Most of the interior has been renovated and updated and we are still working on the exterior, but the home has become very popular with return guests and it stays booked! We love that this is a one story home with a small "cocktail" pool that is right on the beach. The floorplan is very conducive to two small families coming with their kids, offering two bedroom and a bath on each oppposite sides of the house. But it also offers a large open family room and kitchen for coming together. Sit on the deck and watch the dolphins, sunset and gorgeous ocean views.

What makes this property unique

The floor plan is comfortable and quite spacious, though that is deceiving from the outside. The open plan is popular with our guests as well as with our families. This is a second home for our family and we try to spend time here when we can.
