We were in town for a church event. The owner was super accomodating to our constant changes. It was close to where we needed to be and had plenty of space.

We were skeptical at first from the over grown lawn but the inside is so cute and cozy! We will definitely be coming back again

Skiing Vacation
For the location and price this was very convenient for our group. The house itself is in need of attention. The host was friendly. There were multiple different types of dog hair throughout the entire house. It was gross to constantly feel I was picking it off my clothes. The dog kennels take up a lot of space, so if you’re not traveling with a pet this is not ideal. The kitchen supplies is very limited, not even having enough water glasses for the number guests that I paid for.
Disappointing Experience – Property Not as DescribedUnfortunately, this property was not ready for guests upon arrival. It was dirty, had a strong unpleasant odor, and did not feel safe or properly maintained. The floors were soft and uneven. The first thing we saw when entering was a black curtain with a sign that read “Do Not Enter,” which immediately gave an unsettling impression. The yard was overgrown and unkempt, and the driveway access was difficult – tree branches scraped the top of our vehicle as we pulled in. Also concerning was what appeared to be a junkyard next to the property, and back storage space packed full of junk, adding to the overall sense of neglect and lack of safety. The owner acknowledged the smell but ultimately did not honor the full refund less fees that was initially promised. We did not stay at the property due to health and safety concerns and were very disappointed by the condition and handling of the situation. This experience did not meet expectations or reflect the listing accurately. I would not recommend this property to future travelers.

Beautiful home to come to. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Fantastic!
The house worked well for our family. Great location for our activities and needs.
The inside was clean, rustic and charming. The outside however could use a little help. You need to do some lawn work and trimming. We could barely sit on the small front porch without being attacked by weeds. Your listing also needs to advise that you are right next to a junk yard. Although there is a fence separating the property from the junkyard you can still see old cars, etc. all over. Not a pleasant outdoor presence!
Completely disgusting and filty home. Dirty sheets on 2 beds, sheets appeared left over and not washed from prior visitors, kitchen filty, kitchen towel obviously soiled, trash can smelled and not cleaned, stivetop dirty, bug traps seen, filty bathtub. Left immediately after seeing the house. Owner difficult to reach and argumentative upon my calling her, challenged me mutiple times while speaking with her on the phone trying to get my refund. Still trying to get my full refund now, difficult process with vrbo too. Would never rent any home this owner lists. Pictures taken for accuracy of this statement if needed.
Nice little place to stay right in the middle of the things we were doing for the weekend.

Good property/Good value
The home was older, but clean and comfortable for 7 of us. Good price for the space. The yard could use some clean up/tending. These items would have been helpful: hair dryer, kitchen wash cloth, dish towel, bathroom wash cloths, directions on the TV/remote OR state in the description they are not included. The host did not send a code for the lockbox, so our entry was delayed by 90 minutes. She did refund us $20. Make sure to get the code ahead of arrival.
The house is perfect for a mini getaway.
They have pretty much everything you could need.
Things to know:
1. The wifi is super spotty. We were not able to connect our whole trip. But we spent most of our time out of the house so it did not impact us.
2. I recommend bringing a thicker blanket especially if you get cold easily.
There is a quaint brewery in Saint Croix Falls I recommend.
Also, check out Interstate Park and do a river cruise.
We were up here for a wedding and this was a perfect location between the ceremony in Balsam Lake and the reception in St. Croix Falls. Check in was easy and the host was quick to respond to all my messages. The house was the perfect size for our family of four and a friend. Unfortunately the weekend was super hot and humid and the two window a/c's couldn't really cool off the house the first night. Luckily the second night was cooler!
A couple of suggestions for the host: Kitchen towels would be helpful, especially when guests want to use dishes. We had to use bath towels when doing dishes. Also, having some simple condiments available in the fridge, and maybe some sugar for the coffee would be nice when guests want something simple. We bought some groceries, but not having to buy an entire bottle of mustard or ketchup or a box of sugar would be helpful.
In all, the house is nice. It looks as if some renovations have been done, and I feel like the bathroom might be the next project. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property for others needing a place in this area.
The house was clean and comfortable could use washcloth and kitchen towels, directions for tv and remote for upstairs.
The outside sidewalk area to enter the house was all weeds and rusty junk, old trucks, broken fences, hard to find house number...not very welcoming that was for sure and not like in the pics. Inside looks like it is in the process of updating.
Again clean and quiet but, does need some tlc outside.
