Beachfront 1 4011

Beautiful pool and beach access. Condo was ok. Bathrooms are in need of an update, and freezer door is broken - needs to be replaced. Bedrooms and family room are great!

Enjoyed the first floor experience

This was our first time renting on the first floor of a condo in Sandestin. Beach dunes covered our view but the pros outweighed the cons. Very convenient bringing all our beach chairs, etc... and leaving on back porch. Very short walk out and to the end of the pier for morning coffee. We will stay there again

Some things were ok and convenient. However, we wouldn’t rent from this particular unit again.

Good location. Nice having TV’s in each room. Bathrooms were equal to or lower quality of staying in a motel. Sofa, chairs and table cushions were dingy.

Wonderful Spot

We loved the location of this unit - it was on the ground floor at the end of the building and was so close to our parking spot with direct access. Out back, we had a beautiful patio and access to a lovely garden, the pool and beach. The unit was set up nicely with everything we needed. The property manager was very helpful, as we called her at midnight when we arrived because I forgot to bring the gate codes. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay

We had the best time here! Everything was just as described and the location was better than I could have expected. Our kids loved eating breakfast on the porch that opens up to a large green space for them to play. We were right on the beach! The only downside to our stay was the condominium was performing landscape work on a Saturday morning which made them close the pool the whole morning. That wasn't well planned in my opinion and caused some inconveniences but definitely not the property owner's fault. overall we would stay here again!

We loved the condo! Decorated nice and it was very clean. Just needs a few fix ups-freezer handle on frig door was loose. TV in master bedroom was not set right so the voice was off. The view is obstructed by a huge sand hill so you can’t see ocean from room. The WiFi worked perfectly! It was a great week with perfect weather!

We enjoyed the property.

It was nice to have such quick easy access to the beach, pool and parking. I wish the bathroom for the second bedroom.had the door replaced on the medicine cabinet instead of no door. That was a little eye sore. We did not have access to the kitchen supplies included. Maybe I missed that somewhere. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and would stay at the property again.

March 2023 Trip

We enjoyed staying here! We were thrilled to be able to stay on the ground floor, and be able to be at the pool in literally seconds! The pool was heated nicely such that it was comfortable for the kids and even the adults to swim, despite some of the cooler temps outside (March weather). The beach was super accessible with a quick walk through the pool area. The kids had an absolute blast! We did not have a perfect view of the ocean from our condo due to being at ground level, but we did love to see the FL palms, and the super nice grassy area literally right out our back door. The kids really enjoyed the playing on and exploring grassy area which is something we haven’t experienced when we’ve stayed in condos on higher levels. We would definitely stay here again!

The unit needs updating in kitchen and master bath. The unit had flying bugs the whole time. Main floor might cause this. Master bath needs fan in bath and the whole thing updated. Family room very nice. Needs new kitchen utensils and make sure they are clean.

Cute and clean!

This is between a 4 star and 5 star for me and could be 5 star super easy with a few things. There are not nearly enough plates even for 4 people. Dollar tree can fix that cheap. Dryer takes a solid 2-3 hours so that should be looked at. A Serving platter or two would be really great too. Don’t let the peeling front door scare you. The condo is clean and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable, linens nice too. Access to beach and grills/ pool is great. Also load in and out is great since the condo is right near a walkway. Great lawn right off patio if you have kids that want to play.

Just as expected and more...

I was not sure if I should book because of previous reviews of dunes blocking the ocean view. It is true you do not get the 6th floor view, but you are in an out of the pool within few steps walk. Access to the beach is a breeze walk, balcony with walkout was a plus for the kids. Finally offloading after a long trip was super easy as the apartment is located on the floor level with no need of walking through lobby or any doors. It is an old building but maintained well. Beds are super comfy and it is fairly clean. Kitchen has all you need as well. Stores nearby. Make sure to take advantage of their free ticket for "Sea Blaster Sunset Cruise and Sea Blaster Snorkel trip" It is amazing, the crew, the views, the speed. I hope this review helps you decide just like some others helped me :) Thanks for relaxing week ...

On Tuesday night at midnight the fridge started beeping like a door wasn't closed all the way. After making sure the doors were closed, I tried to go back to sleep. I called at 7:00 am to report the problem and was told they would send someone out to repair. I checked out Friday and never saw a repair person. I had to unplug the fridge and live out of coolers for the rest of my stay.

Great location, nice condo

The overall appearance of the condo is very nice, comfortable beds and good showers. There are a number of repair items that keep me from a 5 star rating. The refrigerator door made so much noise when opened it made you jump. There was no drain plug on the master bedroom sink you could see hair in the drain. The master toilet was loose from the floor. The dryer took hours to dry towels. The kitchen had minimal dishes. I was given permission to check in early but the door was still locked. These were small things but In total were not what I expect. The condo was updated and the furnishings fine. Enjoyed the location (very easy to unload and clear out because of location). With minor repairs I would have given 5 stars.

Don't be fooled by the pictures.!! The Pool is under construction! There is NO pool on the beach as advertised. when I called about it they were rude and nobody seemed to know anything. I guess there were other pools in the area we could use but no information as to where to find them. They changed the gate codes to get in the property and to get to the beach and didn't inform anyone. Many people were locked out or locked in for many hours. The property is a little run down with limited supplies and the Dryer still does not work. I have called many times to talk to the management company but still no retrun call

Lots of disappointments

Pool is not open and under renovation and it was not disclosed; bathrooms are horrible and date back to the 80s; all the furniture is stained and soiled; it is not ocean view as view is blocked by sand dune; beach chairs and umbrella for beach use needed to be replaced; management did not respond timely to wrong sheets for hideaway; bath tub never fixed; one the remotes did not work; could not get to Netflix from any TV; no written instruction manual in condo; trash pickup at complex comes between 6:30-7:30 every morning, which wakes you up whether you want to or not

The pictures are exactly how the unit looks! My sister & I enjoyed our stay with my niece & daughter for their Senior year Spring Break, it just went by so fast! We did not mind the sand dunes because we had a beautiful view with lots of trees, pool & cook-out area. The walkway to the beach was visible from the patio and you could hear & smell the water! Plenty of cookware & everything you would need to prepare just about any meal. They provide plenty of towels, washcloths, toilet paper etc. All you need to bring is food, drinks, toothpaste, soap etc, laundry detergent (if staying a long time). Seriously the only thing I could find wrong was the bottom outlet on the right side of the bed in the master did not work, but I easily found a working one near by! We will definitely be back! We quickly figured out with it being Spring Break we needed to either make reservations or show up an hour or 2 before our planned eating time if we planned to eat out, so we made all of our reservations for the whole stay the first night we got there and it gave us more time to enjoy ourselves! Hope my review helps!!

Pool is under construction!

The check in and check out process was smooth. 2nd floor beach access was easy. Ground floor access to the room was great for loading and unloading. Would have been nice to know that the pool was under construction. We would have booked elsewhere.

Just ok.

This unit is ok but not awesome. It’s older and needs a little updating. The only smart tv was in the guest BR. The updated bathroom was also the guest bath. No real bow off the deck and master windows do not open if you want to wake up to sounds of the gulf. Renter did verbally respond to some issues we raised but no one came to fix them. If it’s raining when you check in/out, you’ll get wet (as I did)! No way to get luggage cart to room/car is through the parking lot (not the owner’s fault but you need to be aware of this-I and my things got soaked!) overall we did have a good time because hey, it’s SanDestin!!!!!!

Great vacation!

We really loved our stay at Sandestin. This room was perfect for our family. We loved the first floor with access to grass yard although you can't see the ocean because of dunes, we still had quick access to pool and beach. We loved the condo but floors could have been cleaned better under furniture. Our biggest complaint would be the dryer. We washed some of our clothes and the dryer ruined them. Our clothes had burnt places on them and were still damp. This happened with two loads. Needs to be replaced asap.

Perfect spot!

Great location right on the beach, easy to access since it’s on the 1st floor. Beautifully decorated and nicely updated. Master bedroom king size bed was so comfy. Condo has all the basics in kitchenware that you’d need. We rented beach chairs & an umbrella daily, just because it was easy. But there are beach chairs here at the condo if you want them instead. The pool isn’t large- but was never crowded. Nice lawn chairs and a hot tub. Overall i was beyond happy with our decision to stay here. We will definitely come back!!! ❤️

Booked online then I got a call with a few hours it was unavailable.

Property management company was very rude and unhelpful. They also wouldn’t refund my money or cancel the reservation after telling it was unavailable. I had to file a complaint with Home Away. We didn’t even stay at the condo but I’m still getting asked to review my stay.
