Looking for a cozy and restful getaway or simply to get some work done?
Located off a quiet street, this luminous independent apartment is perfectly situated between three desirable neighborhoods of Alberta Arts District, Mississippi Avenue, and N. Williams Avenue. With a private entrance, this space is ideal for working remotely, equipped with high speed WIFI and an oak writing desk. The space is furnished with a blend of modern threaded with vintage. Locally handcrafted wood and marble furniture pieces meld with antique French mirrors and retro tins, along with hand drawings and curated art prints gathered from travels throughout Europe. For a healthy indoor environment, great care was taken to select interior finishes, paint, carpet, mattress, and furnishings that do not emit harmful VOC chemicals. The high thread count soft organic bedding, pillows, and natural latex mattress are aimed for cozy and comfortable. Make yourself at home with open shelving space, coat rack, and hanging closet.
The apartment is a daylight basement of a 1902 home with character - as one room in particular has a lower ceiling height. The (newly renovated) bathroom has a slightly lower head height of 6’-1”, so it may not be suited to super tall folks. All other rooms have standard ceiling heights. With a connection to the outdoors, the windows provide views of gardens and green spaces with cordless blinds for privacy. The kitchen is equipped with a gas range, refrigerator, stainless steel double sink, microwave, toaster, electric tea kettle, coffee making supplies, and dish ware, although no dishwasher. The kitchen is designed with quartz countertops and the mahogany wood cabinetry provide ample storage. Guests have private use of the front garden with outdoor seating at the top of the paved path. The separate entrance is through a wooden gate along a bamboo garden illuminated with path lights to the 6 step descent to the entry.
