The brick house cottage is a great accommodation with an easy check in, plenty of room, knowledgeable hosts of many sites off the beaten path, and smooth check out process. Enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in the Toccoa area!
I have nothing but good to say! Everything was comfortable, beautiful, convenient! The hostess was very responsive and helpful! We appreciate you allowing us to enjoy your home! I would definitely recommend it and would be so happy to return some day!
The house was well appointed and very comfortable. Our family was in town for a wedding that was right down the street. Was very close to restaurants and grocery/drug stores. Will stay again if we need to be in town.
used the brick house cottage as a resting place while hosting a wedding at a local venue, house was nice ,beds where comfortable, it met our needs and accommodations .
We had such a wonderful stay at The Brick House in Toccoa! Cyn was an absolutely amazing host—very communicative, helpful, and informative from start to finish. The home itself is beautiful, with charming decor and so many thoughtful touches. We especially loved the huge kitchen, which was fully stocked with dishes and pots with everything we needed to make a few breakfasts, and the cozy living room with its big chaise chair that quickly became a favorite spot to relax. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the location was convenient for everything we wanted to do. But the absolute highlight was how spotless the house was—everything was sparkling clean and perfectly prepared for our arrival. My granddaughter adored the space as much as we did, and we made some truly special memories during our stay.We can’t recommend The Brick House enough and hope to return again soon!
We had a great time visiting our daughter who is working at Pinecove! Great location…comfortable split plan layout…very clean and felt like home 😁 Thank you!!!
My husband and I stayed at the Brick House and enjoyed our time in Toccoa and the surrounding area. The Brick House was well appointed and very comfortable for us and our small dog. The cottage was a great home base for us to explore many waterfalls and parks in Northeast Georgia and we enjoyed relaxing at night in our comfortable accommodations. Bill and Cyd were very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend the Brick House.
We had a wonderful stay while we were visting our daughter at college. The house was clean and welcoming. The property owner was available and relayed all the information we needed prior to checking in. We will definitely stay again.
This was a winner as far as location. I didn't feel super comfortable with all the rules, but it served its purpose for what we needed. There were a few issues, but the stay wasn't long enough to raise any flags.
The cottage was rented for my son and his new wife to support the wedding day activities! Everything in the house was perfect and supported the day before stay as well as the bride and grooms wedding night. The location is convenient to the Toccoa Fall park and the reception center. I would recommend this home.
Stayed with extended family for a quick weekend. House server its purpose well. Close to town but far enough away. Cozy house, good room layout. Clean and stocked. Ran out of coffee and hot water. Several cold showers ended up being taken but not by choice.

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for your stay at the Brick House Cottage. We provide a variety of coffees, some of which were left over after your stay. Should you have preferences, please let your hosts know. We will look into the hot water heater. Had you called we would have taken care of that right away. We keep it at the recommended setting for a four bedroom home.
Kindly,
Cyd
This property is just as promised. It was perfect for our stay. It was convenient to the golf course and near all that we needed. It was clean and there were clear instructions about everything. It is located on a main road so there is some road noise but not terrible. The host has a LOT of rules but the only one that was unreasonable was being unable to fry anything in the house due to the fact that they don't have a good venting hood. I would recommend rectifying that soon. The host was accessible and easy to work with otherwise. We would definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Dawn,
Thank you for your kind comments. We don’t allow frying in any of our six cottages as the smell lingers for days and not everyone likes the smell of bacon in the house. Please come back if you are ever in the area and TY for leaving the place so tidy!
Kindly,
Cyd
In short, I booked this house for my family because I was having my wedding nearby. I figured this house would be great for getting ready, or even just for people to kind of have a waiting place while things were being done. Little did I know, no one is allowed in the house at any point in time, no matter what, besides the guests i booked to actually stay the night there. Meaning.. if you are thinking about booking this house for possibly getting ready in for a wedding etc, just know that no vendors are even allowed in the house. So if you already have 10 guests booked to stay there, only those 10 guests are allowed in the home. No one over that can even step foot in the house. That includes makeup artist, hair artist, photographer etc.
There are MANY rules at these property’s as well. All in all, rules are rules, but that specific rule is not communicated upon booking, and in my opinion that should be something everyone is aware of, because it can be misunderstood. Especially when most VRBO houses don’t allow other overnight guests, but they DO allow visitors in the home to hang out during the day etc. Which in this house and other houses owned by Cyd neither of those are allowed. Overall the house was great and very clean, but host is very very strict on rules and will show up at the house unannounced to have a talk with you, if she suspects even 1 guest over the limit is there. The information packet states, the owners “will not bother you unless you want us to ;)” but I find that personally to not be true considering she does multiple drive bys of each property’s while guests are there, and she showed up at one of the other houses we had booked to tell us my 6 groomsmen (that were literally in the house for 20 min to grab breakfast before heading to their house..was not allowed and they needed to leave immediately.. oh and then charged my dad a $75 fee once she left..) This is just a heads up, if you are a bride thinking about booking any of Cyd Quarterman houses. I think these homes are great for a getaway with one or 2 people but for weddings etc I would not recommend.

First read our reviews. Then read hers, Kailey Allison’s reviews. She has none, although she infers she has stayed at many VRBO houses and knows what is allowed and what is not. VRBO hosts put in place guidelines that are specific to the location and the place. Since this house has many wedding parties that stay there, we restrict the guests coming in and out of the cottage to the number of guests indicated in the initial reservation. This is standard protocol within this industry. Guests are charged by the number of guests staying as would a hotel/motel do. This guest should understand that, as her own videography business does the same, charges by the number of hours a client wishes to book for said services. She charges by the hours a client requests. In the VRBO business, charges are by the number of nights needed and the number of guests staying. Additional services, nights, and guests have upcharges. So her comments do not make sense this way.
As far as showing up at the house unannounced and doing multiple drive-bys, I have no idea what she is referring to, as neither of these occurred at her booked cottage. Her (pastor) father, ignored these guidelines in another cottage booked by him, when he grossly exceeded the number of guests he booked the reservation for. She was part of that group who blatantly ignored our guidelines for this two-person, tiny house. When confronted on this and asked to pay additional charges, he looked for ways to disparage THAT cottage with unfounded, and dishonest accusations. He did this to avoid paying for these infractions and never paid them. Kailey also exceeded the number of booked guests in this cottage. When asked to pay for the additional guest, she refused to pay as well. Use caution with this person and her father. They will look for ways to get around house rules and when caught, look for ways to justify their dishonest actions and avoid doing what is stated within the listing description. As per VRBO protocol, these descriptions are provided even prior to booking, so guests are fully aware of what to expect. But one has to read the easily accessed information. And if clarity is needed, one simply needs to ask.
This location couldn't have been better for our son's wedding this past weekend at Toccoa Falls! The house was very clean and spacious and nicely decorated with antiques. The proximity to the wedding venue on campus was less than a mile and worked out very well for us. We would highly recommend this property!
Perfect location to stay for niece’s wedding! Very clean, comfortable & charming! Home has a great cozy vibe & we loved it.

About the host
Hosted by cynthia f quarterman
We are a family of four that loves to travel. Strangers all over the world have been gracious to us. We want to return the favor. We love dogs and have two rockin' chocolate labradors.
Why they chose this property
We love Toccoa and Toccoa Falls. We have spent our lives dedicated to the college in professor capacities. We now own Flat Rock Farm Weddings and this cottage is often used to house bridal parties for our nearby venue. We also know how difficult it is to find a place for a pet to stay as we love traveling with our "chocolate" girls. So we wanted to provide a pet friendly cottage for others to enjoy.
What makes this property unique
Bricks, bricks, bricks! This Brick House Cottage is built of brick and has many brick features. Also fun fact, our favorite dancing song is "She is a brick house" by the Commodores. So you see, the name just seemed right!
