Perched on Sarlat’s northern edge, in the village of Temniac, at the end of its own private driveway, the four-bedroom retreat of Les Fontanelles is one of the area’s most secluded and tranquil properties.

The house commands a near wilderness privacy with stunning views of nature while only a 10 minute drive to downtown Sarlat. Its simple gardens of terraced lawns, wild oaks, poplars, walnut trees and hydrangeas beds contain a stone-edged heated infinity pool surrounded by a teak deck. The pool area is decked out in super stylish furniture, making it the perfect gathering spot for drinks at sunset or lounging with a good book.

Within Les Fontanelles’simple stone walls sits an extraordinary contemporary interior. Exposed dark timber beams, stone walls and bespoke furnishings bring a modern elegance to this stylish, rural home.

The four bedrooms are all well-appointed with king or queen size beds and their own bathrooms. The kitchen has been completely remodeled in 2018 with top-of-the line Miele appliances. The entire home has been renovated in 2014.
