The host Tony was very helpful and attentive to reply to questions. We enjoyed the home and our time in Berkley Springs. The only reason for a four star review instead of five was the distance between the home and BS was a bit farther than we would have liked. That being said it was very quiet and peaceful. Hot tub was nice and hot, which I have found is rare in a rental. All and all a very peaceful quiet location.

This is a great place for a getaway. It feels very remote and private, but is only about half an hour from Berkeley Springs, which is lovely. We enjoyed the hot tub and burgers at Hillbilly Heaven, which was a great recommendation from the owners.

We’ve stayed at quite a few of Tony’s properties. I would recommend him as a host- he’s easy to communicate with and the information sent when you book is great! And if you have any questions he responds very quickly! This property- and all of the others we’ve stayed at- have been amazing. Clean, fully stocked with necessities, and cozy.

This adorable cabin was perfect for our couples weekend away! Very clean, stocked with essentials (linens, cookware, utensils, etc) and spacious. The hot tub and fire pit were perfect to help unplug and relax. Tony was a phenomenal host, was quick to respond to any questions/concerns and made sure every part of our stay was satisfactory. Would definitely return or stay at other properties from this host.

Lots of good communication with property owner. Beds and pillows were comfy. Booked it because there was a hot tub and we enjoyed using it. There were no hooks for towels anywhere in the whole space and no dryer and so hanging wet suits or towels was a problem. Very long staircase to get up to the house, should be noted for anyone with mobility issues.

Disliked: Amenities
Called about no lites working in the kitchen area and they said they would take care of it but never did.
Cool location but definitely could have been cleaner
The beds were very comfortable and we had lots of fun building a fire each night. The Adirondack chairs by the fire pit are quite sturdy and very relaxing. The location is quite remote, but we wanted that!
The cabin itself was in rougher shape than I would have thought - one bedroom door is missing and the hose does not reach the deck or bonfire, so we couldn’t clean off the deck furniture. It was also not as clean as I would have hoped- especially given that some reviews mention how clean it was. There weren’t just a few spots that had been missed, dirt/dust/etc has clearly been building up for months.

Sister's trip
Long weekend away for a sisters trip. House was in a secluded wooded area about 30 minutes from most things. Hot tub was a great bonus. However the house has alot of wear/issues and was not the cleanest. We are used to wooded areas as we have a cabin in Upper michigan but there was mice running around in the cabin the first night with no mouse traps, (I actually had to block/tape a doorway that they were getting in from) I did ask for traps but I guess maintenance did not have mouse traps so they were going to send pest control but no one ever came. We definitely made the best of out trip it just was a little disappointing. The property has alot of potential but we probably would've choice it again.

Cabin was not fully clean. The toilet had stains. Dishes that were in cabinets had left over stains. When we got there temperature was set at 58 while it was freezing outside. We turned it up to 70. 6 hours later the temperature had not risen past 61. I contacted the owner numerous times and no resolution was given. Close to 9pm he said we could move to another cabin after we had already unpacked everything. At midnight he said put the thermostat at emergency. He must have said "sorry for the inconvenience" on every issue i raised at least 8 times. The remote control was so terrible and didn't work. The nearby places lister on the cabin site were more than 45 minutes away while advertised at 3 minutes away. The water was cloudy from the sink and the pressure basically didn't exist. A total of 5 towels were given when i specifically asked for extra. Had to wear sweaters, jackets, hats and gloves inside while wrapped up in blankets. My 4 year old son got sick. The temperature eventually got better but no maintenance was sent to confirm it will continue working. Woke up on the day of checkout to temperature of 59. It was just as cold inside that it was outside. Though the owner responded timely, he did absolutely nothing to assist with any of the concerns raised. The second day he said if the cabin temperature has not gotten better its a "safety" issue and we must either move to the other cabin or leave.Buyer be ware..this stay was the worst experience I've ever had.
This was such an amazing place! It was nice and clean and quiet. The owner was very helpful and we will recommend to other families to stay here. Nice and secluded and quiet. Very well stocked with everything that you could ever need.
Highly recommend!!!
Very clean, we were only there one night, but we could bring our dog and it was in the right location to break up a long drive.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Cedar Ridge in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
