The Green House River Ranch is a 3000sq ft., 4 bedroom 3 bath home on 15 acres with a beautiful panoramic view of the historic Suwannee River in Lafayette County. Completely renovated from top to bottom in 2021 with comfort in mind for friends and family to enjoy. As you enter the gates a short drive through an open field,large Hammock Oaks and beautiful pines scattered throughout the property, on the ground level there is a Outdoor shower,bathroom and a full size refrigerator for your convenience with cover parking for up to 6 cars. This property has its own private boat ramp and over a quarter mile of river frontage with its own private spring-fed canal and a floating dock and decks to relax on!!Bring your own boat or jet skis for some fun on the Suwanee! Relax in your own private oasis on the river as you enjoy the sunrise and a bird's eye view with your morning coffee on the wrap around porch and watch the deer,turkey,hawks and other wildlife roam around the property. As the sun warms up take the kayaks or your boat or take a swim to a nearby spring. Grab a fishing pole and cast a line, some of the best fishing on the Suwannee is just outside your door. There are lots of activities, Volleyball, big pool table and Ice hockey outside under covered area and bikes for the kids and adults to play rain or shine.There are also 5 fishing kayaks and a 2 person Canoe for you to use so take a peaceful ride down the Suwannee and enjoy the view. Soak in the fresh air as you enjoy the big beautiful yard,or play some basketball, corn hole, horseshoe and swing the kids under the grandfathered Oaks. Take a stroll through the trails within the property or explore down the road and visit the grazing cows and friendly donkeys.As the day starts winding down, fire up the grill and have a family dinner outside under the star’s and then relax by the campfire and roast some marshmallows on the river’s edge.The sunset sky and stars are amazing.

When back inside you can unwind by the electric fireplace in the cozy living room on very comfortable leather reclining sofas or prepare a home cooked meal in the spacious fully equipped kitchen with all modern amenities and huge farmhouse sink . A family size dining room table to gather for meals or board games.Washer and dryer are located upstairs with a stock linen closet with towel and sheets.There are TV’s and ceiling fans in every room.The house also has a water softener and top of the line filtering system for good water quality.

Depending on how high the Suwanee River level will be during your stay, Will determine the clarity and accessibility to the nearby springs and the boat ramp.
Higher water level will not be as clear.
Lower water level clear and perfect.
Mother nature is out of our control. But there is always kayaks to use or bring your boat to go to different springs if the water level is high.

The town of Mayo is only two miles away where you can find most of the essentials you will need for your stay, groceries,drinks,gas, etc.(miles away) For more shopping and restaurants, Live Oak is only a 15 minute drive. Publix, Lowes , Dairy Queen,Hardees,Pizza Hut,Restaurants,

Wonderful, beautiful & clean property with so much to offer! The living/kitchen area. easily accommodated our group of 8 adults, and 3 grandchildren easily. The water level is low (which we prefer) It made for easy paddles;Lafayette Blue Springs to the house & from the house to the Hal W Adams bridge offered beautiful sections of the river. We fished from the dock, played yard games and in Perry Spring, grilled, and had smores at the firepit.The kitchen was a little disorganized and we had to thoroughly clean the grill and smoker but those werent game changers when EVERYTHING else was considered.If you are looking to reconnect with family/friends, you wont be disappointed!All voted for "our best yet" & would return "in a heartbeat."

Great week with the family. House was fantastic. Very spacious very, very well stocked kitchen. Beds were all great. We were there the hottest week of the year but plenty of shade. Host was very helpful even sending us a text warning us about tje heat advisory. We would definatley stay there again.

This place from the drive up was amazing. It's spacious, the kitchen is well stocked, the beds are very comfortable.We had a great time on the river. The spring close by is where we spent most of our time. The property is huge and really well taken care of. I highly recommend this if you just want some peace and quiet.

We had such a wonderful & relaxing time at Green House River Ranch! The property is well taken care of and so beautiful! We loved the way the house has been updated & decorated. Beautiful home and property.

Spent Thanksgiving holiday here with family. Was very nice place and having “spreading out room” on the property was wonderful. Afternoon games and a little fishing (didn’t catch anything but….) was the perfect getaway and no crowds to worry about like being at popular destinations. Owners very pleasant and easy to work with and despite the recent storms, the property was surprisingly well maintained. Would highly recommend for a getaway from it all.

This place was truly magical and one of the best trips we’ve ever taken as a family. From the moment we drove through the gates, we were in awe. The property is stunning, with so many thoughtfully designed areas to explore and enjoy. We played capture the flag on the grounds, walked the beautiful trails, and picnicked in different spots each day thanks to the multiple swings and peaceful sitting areas throughout.The kids had a blast with all the games, both inside and out. Every corner of the home and property offered something new to enjoy. The house far exceeded our expectations. It is incredibly well equipped, beautifully maintained, and you can tell the owners take great pride in it, as they should. Everything was so comfortable, from the soft sheets to the layout with two master bedrooms, making it easy for our whole group to relax.The Riverview is breathtaking and having the spring just steps from the property made this stay extra special. We also visited Ichetucknee Springs and several other nearby springs during our trip. We will definitely be back. This was an unforgettable experience.

What a fabulous Thanksgiving on the Suwannee. A wonderful kitchen full of awesome smells and the chatter of family. An open floor plan with the Parade on and a wine fridge to support the mimosas flowing. The beds in every room were super comfy and the house and its grounds have a special energy that kept me and my family entertained - I never opened the computer up and that is saying something! Jacqueline was an awesome and responsive host - as she was the last time I was here.I hope to be here again soon.

Better than we could have imagined

This place was amazing. First off the host allowed for an earlier check in for our group. This was much needed as our group was traveling from 2 different states. When we arrived we were blown away by the place. Property was beautiful and the house was amazing. Pictures could never fully encapsulate how great this place looks. Right on the river with a spring right next door. Bedrooms were large and sleeping arrangements allowed for all 8 people to have their own bed. The host answered quickly to all of our questions. We are a group who travel once a year to a destination and have bee doing this for years.....this was one of the best trips we have ever taken. We will be back.

A Few Day Get-Away on the River

This property is amazing in size, location and activity. Lafayette Blue Springs State park is a short drive from the house and serves as a unique landing to float the day on the river back to the house. The spring next door is lively with turtles, fish and bubbling water from below. There was ample space, utensiles, cookware and toiletriesis for all in my party, and more than enough space around the fire pit. Jacqueline is a very responsive and kind host who made me feel welcome from the start of my booking. There was a slight discrepancy between the checkout time VRBO listed in email and that which Jacqueline instructed, but she was very understanding and we worked things out without issue. I highly recommend this house, property and host. It was a trip!

Gorgeous house and land

We weren’t entirely sure what to expect when we booked this house; we mostly wanted to “get away” for a few days in the middle of nowhere. This house did that and more! The photos don’t do it justice - it’s beautifully decorated inside and the grounds are incredible. This was the perfect escape with lots of outdoor games (cornhole, horseshoes, a sandbox with trucks for my toddler to play with), plus a canoe and kayaks and a spring around the river. Going for a run and enjoying the outdoors here was so relaxing. The house is near many state parks, and there’s tons of natural springs in the area. The wifi was a little spotty and when it went out for a few hours I texted and got an immediate response from the owner - this was over a holiday weekend and I was very impressed! We’d love to come back next year for another escape!

Our Suwannee River Experience

WOW! Great house! Planned on kayaking the Suwannee, departing from this house. Due to TS Elsa we watched the amazing river from our high and dry location - complete with great grill, corn hole, horseshoes and bikes for all age groups that visted and/or stayed at the house. Private hanging out in the hammock for quiet time - plenty of property for exploring. The kitchen was amazing. Plenty of seating for all. A great room for our younger visitors, enjoying the original pacman. After a long day outside in the Florida humidity, a great shower and plenty of towels for all. At the end of the day, having a great bed with quality bedding just topped it all off. I live close, so having this house as an option for future kayak gatherings inspires me. Can't wait to try again once the weather cools and to try out the firepit.

A great escape

This is a very cool property “out in the middle of nowhere” as we liked to call it. It was very quiet and peaceful! The inside is completely renovated and beautiful. More than enough space for everyone. Keep in mind that one of the 3 bathrooms listed is outside- so really only 2 bathrooms inside the house to use, but that wasn’t a problem for us. They provide a ton of toys and activities for kids as well. The provided kayaks were very nice! You could also bring your own boat and they have a soft launch pad at the end of the trail. We brought all of our food for the weekend, I don’t think there were many restaurants close by. We really enjoyed the quiet, but never got bored! There are a lot of stairs up to the house. They do have an elevator, but not sure if they let people use that normally. Fun place for both adults and kids. We will definitely come here again!
