This particularly nice holiday apartment in Marsaxlokk, on the upper floor of a private house with separate entrance, has a large kitchen-living room with TV and a well-equipped kitchen area on approx. 75 mÂČ living space. Two modern bedrooms with 2 beds each and optional air conditioning. Bathroom with shower and WC.

From the large roof terrace with deck chairs and parasol you have a wide view over the roofs to the harbour and the bay of Marsaxlokk. A washing machine is available. Clean, spacious standard apartment at very nice and hospitable owners, who live just next door.

Nice sandy beach about 15min walk.
Bakery diagonally opposite. Bus stop (e.g. to Valletta) approx. 300m; supermarket approx. 400m

Special features: Recommended transfer from/to the airport to your apartment. Rental cars can be mediated for good price!

A comfortable home in Marsaxlokk

Very gracious and welcoming hosts who provided an excellent selection of foods to start my stay. The apartment was spacious and well equipped and very close to the harbour and cafes which were just a short walk down the road. Ta Diegu made an ideal base from which to explore the southern end of the island. Thank you Frans and Doris for making my stay so enjoyable.

Superbly positioned house for waterfront. Lots of restaurants very close by. Had all we wanted. Delightful owners. Car advisable, parking available, but not outside.

Authentic experience

The apartment was large and airy with views of the harbour from the balcony and rooftop terrace. It was a few minutes walk to the water, cafes, shops, Sunday Market and buses. The apartment is an authentic Maltese home and very charming. It is great value and very family friendly.

A very nice apartment, where we enjoyed using the rooftop terrace every day.

Such a nice place to enjoy our holiday. The apartment was as we had expectet. We maked our breakfast at home and enjoyed using the rooftop terrace every day. There was no light on the terrace, but then we bought some candles. We thank Stefan for that very good service - about transport from the airport and back again. And we thank our host Frans and his wife for their help and lovely kindness to us. Besides visiting Valetta we had booked tickets for the Hypogeum in Paola, which was very, very interesting. The Maltese people are very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed living in Marsaxlokk with their Fishmarket, the small shops - backer, butcher, and grocery. There is some very good restaurants, where the food and the service are very, very good - such as Restaurant Anna Mari and Restaurant Terrone.

Die Wohnung hat eine vernĂŒnftige GrĂ¶ĂŸe und alles notwendige ist vorhanden.Sie ist sauber und die Dachterasse sehr schön.FĂŒr die Nachbarn kann der Vermieter nichts, hinte nein Hahn der ab 5 Uhr sich meldet und vorne ein klĂ€ffender Hund gegenĂŒber. Allerdings ist alles etwas Ă€lter und die Möbel und Betten entsprechend durchgesessen/ gelegen, wenn auch optisch OK. Es gibt Klima-Anlagen in den Schlafzimmern , die sind im Sommer wohl ein muss, sowie eine neue Waschmaschine und Fön. Wir sind allerdings auch mit einem Bett zusammengebrochen, konnten es aber reparieren. Somit ist die Wohnung aus unser Sicht etwas ĂŒberbewertet.Die Vermieter wohnen nebenan und sind sehr nett.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt (Familie) sehr genossen! Waren uns vorab ĂŒber die Gegebenheiten vor Ort klar und konnten wunderbar entspannen, kulinarisch genießen und uns auch an den Linksverkehr gewöhnen. Und das fĂŒr relativ kleines Geld! Malta ist einfach eine tolle Insel, im Juni doch schon wĂ€rmer als gedacht. Eine Art von Fliegenschutz wĂ€re noch vorteilhaft. Ansonsten bietet die Wohnung (sehr sauber!!) alles was man braucht. Sehr gute Betreuung durch die Vermittlungsagentur!

Die Fereinwohnung ist sehr sauber, einfach, gemĂŒtlich. Die Betten sind bequem. Es gibt viel Stauraum in SchrĂ€nken und Kommoden. Die Gastgeber sind serh freundlich und hilfsbereit und sprechen maltesisch und englisch. Besonders nett fanden wir, dass sie fĂŒrs erste FrĂŒhstĂŒck alles Notwendige besorgt hatten. Alle Restaurants des Ortes sind fußlĂ€ufig erreichbar.

LÀgenheten var fin i gammal stil men behov av att fÄ uppdaterade köksredskap och Àven service av Aircondition som fungerade instabilt. En damsugare och uppdaterad stÀdutrustning behövs. SvÄrt att hitta parkering för bil. Mucket fin liten fiskeby och vÀldigt lugnt. En trevlig liten sandstrand ca 15min promenad. Ett tjugotal restauranger i hamnen ca 5 minuter bort.

10 jours Ă  Malte

La scĂ©nographie : Deux couples de sĂ©niors (d'Ăąge mur / 80 et des poussiĂšres pour certains) en vacances pour 10 jours en Avril Nous avions choisi Marsaxlokk un peu au hasard comme point d'ancrage et nous ne l'avons pas regrettĂ©. Appartement conforme Ă  l'annonce et propriĂ©taires d'une trĂšs grande gentillesse. Le port est Ă  5 minutes Ă  pied. Nombreux restos. On peut bien sur regretter la prĂ©sence au loin d'une usine qui dĂ©figure (un peu) la baie.. mais pour avoir visitĂ© toute l'ile, nous ne pouvons que conseiller Marsaxlokk pour y passer ses vacances (mais il n'en est peut ĂȘtre pas de mĂȘme en Ă©tĂ©) / Pour ce qui est de rayonner sur l'ile, nous avions louĂ© une voiture (une seule agence / toutes les autres nous ont opposĂ© un refus compte tenu de notre Ăąge (+ de 75 ans). Pas facile de conduire Ă  gauche.. On y est arrivĂ© mais on ne conseille pas. Il est prĂ©fĂ©rable de louer un taxi ou un ''ubĂ©risĂ©'' (Ă  4, le voyage jusqu'Ă  La Valette est Ă  moins de 15 euros !) ou de prendre le bus pour se dĂ©placer Autre chose : Le vent.. qui ne fait pas que vous dĂ©coiffer ! Il souffle en continu.. Bref, si on aime les "vielles pierres", Malte (et ses multitudes de murets et d'Ă©glises) vaut les quelques jours que l'on y passe.. mais pas forcĂ©ment pour y bronzer (plages pour ainsi dire inexistantes et spots de plongĂ©e pris d'assaut).. J'allais oublier : Gozo vaut le dĂ©tour..

Schöner Ort

Marsaxklokk ist ein kleines Fischerdorf im SĂŒden der Inles, abseits der Touristenzentren im Norden. Die Busanbindung ist gut, die Busse fahren regelmĂ€ĂŸig Richtung Valetta und Flughafen. Der Vermieter wohnt nebenan und ist sehr um einen angenehmen Aufenthalt seiner GĂ€ste bemĂŒht. Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht. Die Dachterrasse haben wir nicht genutzt, hier wĂ€ren einen Sonnenschutz und vielleicht ein paar Topfpflanzen wĂŒnschenswert. Ein kleiner BĂ€cker ist 50m entfernt, es lohnt sich, dort das lokale Brot zu kaufen. Der Fischerhafen von Marsaxlock ist sehr schön und lockt mit einigen Restaurants zum Verweilen.

Voldoende compleet voor ons en lekker dichtbij de haven. Helaas geen fatsoenlijk koffiezetapparaat. Zeer gedateerd interieur. Fijn maar sober dakterras.

Mit Highlight-Erfahrung

Die Wohnung befindet sich unweit des Hafens. So waren wir im Leben des Dorfes mittendrin. Ein Highlight ist der sonntÀgliche Markt. Transfer und Empfang in der Wohnung waren super organisiert. Ein herzliches Dankeschön von Annette und Klaus.
