The Wheelhouzz is a beautiful three-bedroom beach property in Safety Harbor Club on North Captiva Island. It is privately situated on a lagoon amongst beautiful mature foliage.
There is no shortage of spectacular views, every room gives way to the sights and sounds of the Captiva wildlife. From the spacious living room, a wall of glass opens to a large outdoor sundeck. Enjoy your coffee as the sun rises and you listen to the birds in the surrounding canopy. You'll have no fear of losing outdoor time due to weather. A fully enclosed, air conditioned sunroom awaits you for a cat nap at noon or a quiet spot to read. Love to cook? With high-end Wolfe and Sub-zero appliances, you'll have no trouble creating culinary masterpieces for small or large groups. While you wait for your food to cook, enjoy a bottle of wine while taking in the wondrous lagoon view from another large deck off the kitchen. Beautiful bamboo and tile floors enhance the warmth of the property.
The upper level gives way to a spacious master bedroom and en suite bath. When you wake, watch the sunrise from a southern facing deck as birds take to the skies from the lagoon. The main floor welcomes additional guests or children with two additional bedrooms and a hall bath. A large party deck expands the lower level. Relax in the hot tub as the evenings give way to cooler temperatures, enjoy a game or discussion in the seating area and park your complimentary golf cart under the deck.
Additional amenities include boat dockage, garbage removal and use of the Safety Harbor Clubhouse which includes a heated pool and tennis courts.
Interested in a day at the beach? A short walk will grant you access to miles of the white sandy gulf beach. Here you'll find plenty of opportunity to build sand castles, search for shells or dip your toes in the cool blue waters.
The community of North Captiva is quiet and secluded, enjoy sandy lanes for walking, bicycling or jogging while you admire the breathtaking landscapes.
All bookings include the use of a golf cart and guests also enjoy access to the NCIC club on the island.

Great getaway!

The home was perfect for our two families. It was pretty, well equipped with all that we could need for fun in the home and at the beach, and in a great location close to the beach and the docks for our boats. Both the owner and the property manager were very helpful, fast to reply, and friendly. Highly recommend!

Great family friendly home

Great family friendly home in the safety harbor community. Easy walking distance to pool, dock and beach. Lots of beach toy, chairs, umbrellas etc. Very responsive owners and great property manager. Overall a great experience.

Quiet Retreat

We enjoyed our stay at the Wheel Houzz. The owners were quick to answer any questions and the managers were always ready to respond to our needs. . We stepped into a house that was clean , ready for our arrival. the house is stocked with extra t-paper, paper towel and soap. The place had us feel like we were about the only people there. Few people on the white beaches loaded with shells. We enjoyed long walks, doing puzzles on the enclosed porch and reading on the many deck chairs. A bonus was the clubhouse where we could checkout books and puzzles. The owners make you feel like your home. Thank you Rosa and Christian and Jenn for making our trip wonderful! We would definitely come back!

My wife and I fell in love with North Captiva over the years visiting Southwest Florida. We love spending time on the water and always made our way to North Captiva to enjoy the beaches, restaurants, and wildlife. We have young children and every chance we get we make it to the island to escape and unwind from the stresses of life.

Why they chose this property

Our home is situated in the middle of North Captiva Island on the lagoon in Safety Harbor Club. We had visited the island many times before deciding to purchase and stayed at many other properties and locations on the island. We fell in love with the quiet setting, but also loved the proximity to the many amenities the island has to offer. The beach is a short walk away, and the golf cart included allows you to be on any point on the island in mere minutes.

What makes this property unique

Benefits of the property include the golf cart, access to both the NCIC and Safety Harbor Clubs, and also the best kitchen setup on the island. This home is setup to entertain guests, or enjoy by yourself. The party deck under the home is perfect for enjoying the hot tub or having a night cap under the lights.
