Indian Lakes Cabin with private beach and dock lake side

Lake front property, quaint and cozy with enclosed sunroom that has a full size futon that will sleep 1 adult or 2 kids. There is a spacious deck overlooking the lake with table seating for 6 and a comfy seating area with an optional large umbrella for shade. There is also a charcoal grill for your convenience and a hammock in the back yard to relax in. You’ll enjoy your own sandy beach area. There is also a 8’ wide 48’ long dock what is shared with the house on the left facing the lake with electric for your boat. We also have 14 foot fishing boat with tiller steering for rent at $150/daily. Messick Lake is a fishing lake that is attached to 4 other lakes you can easily access by boat- 2 others that are also fishing lakes and 2 that are fish and ski lakes with no curfew on tubing or skiing. You’ll also find a restaurant you can access by boat on one of the lakes! The cabin although small is comfortable and enjoyable with 2 bedrooms - 1 with a queen size bed and 1 with a full size bed. There is AC and heat in the cabin for your comfort. The living room has an oversized chair, couch that could sleep 1 adult or kif, 1 futon that can sleep 2 adults, and upon request we can provide 2 extra cots. The cabin is fully stocked with a full size fridge, stove, coffee pot (we provide the filters), pots and pans and silverware, just bring your food and beverages! The beds have clean and fresh linens, and weekend stays will enjoy 6 clean bath towels while full week stays will enjoy 10 clean bath towels. There are Adult (2 included) and kid Kayaks (2 available and included), additional kayaks ($12) to rent as well as well as a canoe ($15). There are many walking trails and parks nearby to enjoy and local restaurants. There is also a nice boat launch next to the property! Bring floating devices or noodles to lounge in lake on and enjoy your stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. We especially liked the all seasons room and the deck area lake views. It was also nice that the weather stayed nice for us and only rained at night. We would definitely stay here again when we are up that way.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. I loved all the woodwork inside and the air conditioner was wonderful. The deck was beautiful and we enjoyed swimming in the beach and the raft. It was a very enjoyable and great stay.

This 2 bed one bath cottage was much roomier than expected. We had 2 adults in each room and we fit a family of 4 in the living room, they had plenty of space. The deck towards the water is spacious, has a lot of seating and has a beautiful view. The yard is also large and leads to a great beach. We are boaters and swimmers, the dock is large and stable, the beach is solid and comfortable to walk out to swimming depth. It has an all seasons room that we did not even make use of, but it would come in handy during bad weather. The bathroom is clean and spacious. It has a truly unique design of open ceilings, so if you are a light sleeper be prepared to hear whatever is happening in the living spaces. It is wonderful cabin and we appreciated the time we got to spend there.

It is a beautiful cabin, very quiet and clean. Exactly what and how it was described. The view of the lake it breath taking. And the host are very friendly. We are looking forward to visiting it again soon.

We want to thank you Diedra, for a wonderful time. The house was very clean and accommodating. It was perfect for our annual weekend. The lakefront was well maintained and very serene. Water was great. The deck had plenty of comfortable seating and the lights were a nice touch.Bathroom was clean and much nicer than some that we have stayed in. Kitchen was reasonably stocked..only comment would be a cutting board and maybe some supplies like tin foil..otherwise worked great for our needs. Bedrooms were very clean and comfy.We also loved that the lake was tucked right into the heart of Amish county. We took your information as we are contemplating renting again next year.Thank you again, we really enjoyed our stay.

There was dust and cob webs everywhere. The light hanging over the stove was covered with them. Mold in the shower. Very old dingy bath towels that felt like using sand paper.A sign on the bathroom wall that said not to flush the toilet every time. (NASTY) Old warped and scratched up pots and pans. The air-conditioning couldn't keep up. The master bedroom was so hot that we had to sleep in the living room. The host lives next door. They had a house full of guest. No private beach as advertised they used it all. And they let their family put their boat in and take up two spots at the pier. They left the smaller one for us. Even though we had paid to stay there!!! Yes you can see the lake from the cabin. They only give you 2 dish towels for a 5 night stay. We don't expect to get new things to use but this stuff was bottom of the barrel. We have stayed in other Vrbo rentals with much nicer things. And we do have pictures. We didn't expect to pay this kind of money and have things turn out like this.

I am sorry you had such an awful time, I wish you would have said something. I didn’t realize I did not change the welcome letter- we do not live next door, we VRBO that house, I would have said something to them. The cabin is professionally cleaned, I know there was no mold in the shower. I will refund 50% of your money, I would have given it all back to you had you not have stayed the whole time. Again, I am sorry you had a bad time.

Peaceful Lake Home

We loved our visit here. We took our Beagles with us and had a wonderful time on the lake. It was peaceful and the neighbors were all friendly. Loved the little home which had everything we needed for our stay.

This is our 4th time our family has visited this cabin. We love it so much and have made it a summer tradition. The cabin itself is perfect. Lots of sleeping options and everything you need to feel like home. The outdoor space cannot be beat. Large relaxing back patio, beautiful yard, and the beach! Spent every day in the water and every night around a fire.

We enjoyed our stay! The cottage is just as listed. It is a 1950s updated cottage with a bit of quirkiness. It was great for 2 of us. Check in and check out was easy.

Bob & Jan's Fall Trip
