Great mountain getaway walking distance to small town
Such a nice place for a group to gather and enjoy the PA mountains! About 2 block walk away from a small diner and stores.
Will definitely stay again if in the area!
We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining spaces. The backyard grilling, yard, and fire pit areas were ideal for our group. We enjoyed riding the tandem bike around town and found the locals very friendly. The beds were super comfortable, too!
The property was really nice and in a good location. We enjoyed taking walks in the area and spending time with our family using their board games and other material provided. We are sure to come again in the future. Thank you for having us.

Four couples had a wonderful stay at Cindy and Bob's! Clean and well-appointed, comfy beds, great communication, and attention to detail - no complaints! I recommend it and would return. Thanks Cindy!

Mark, we are thrilled that you loved the house and had a great time! Thanks for the wonderful review! We would love to host you again in the future! Cindy & Tom
This was our second year staying at Laceyvilla for Thanksgiving. The house is big enough to accommodate my family who travel from other states. The kitchen is great to make a big thanksgiving dinner. We really enjoy our time there including using the yard and visitiing some of the small surrounding towns. Cindy is very helpful and accommodating. We look forward to coming back again.

Thank you Sarah! We enjoyed hosting your family for Thanksgiving and are so thrilled you all enjoyed yourselves at our home. We hope to see you again next year! 😊
Had a long weekend over New Year's weekend for my daughter's sweet 16. The kids loved hanging in the loft and game room, the adults loved the living room and the spacious kitchen as well as the wonderful decks. The town is very small, the nearest liquor store is 10-15 minutes away, but there are grocery supplies much closer. The view of the river is gorgeous.
NEPA is a beautiful area and this house has everything you need for a perfect stay including sharp knives. The host, Cindy, was responsive and helpful. The property is located in the center of the tiny town of Laceyville and you can walk down to the river in a few short blocks. The property is large and the backyard is very private. We enjoyed the rural area and had fun exploring the river.

Thank you Courtney, I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. We’d love to host you again!
We rented this property for a 4 generation Thanksgiving get together. It worked really well for our our group which included Great Grandparents all the way down to a 5 month old infant. Some of our group enjoyed walking down by the river and playing in the yard. Others walked down the street to visit some local businesses. The host Cindy was very helpful, and the house had everything we needed to enjoy the time spent together.

Thank you Sarah. We are so happy that you chose our home for your Thanksgiving gathering. It was a pleasure to host your family and we hope you will return again in the future 😊
I planned a short trip back to my home and was really pleased to find this house right in the middle of town. The house has been restored and updated but still retained a lot of original features such as the original floors doors etc. Cindy was easy to work with and was very responsive to questions and requests. If you have any reason to be in this area, I highly recommend “Lacey Villa”.

We loved our stay and the memories we made. Unfortunately, the baby fell down the steps. Accidents happen. Baby gates might help. Other than that, all was wonderful. Boo, no deer to bring home.
Property owner was very responsive. There was 8 adults with 4 kids ranging from the ages of 16 months to 3 years. There was plenty of space for all of us inside the house and the yard was great for the kids to run around in and play with water toys (we bought a pool, slip and slide and splash pad). We walked down through town to the bridge to go to the river, the kids liked throwing rocks in the water and the adult guys enjoyed the fishing. (Not so much great for swimming, but we made it work). Overall had a great weekend!

Kelly thanks so much for your kind words. I’m glad you and your family a great 4th of July weekend at LaceyVilla. We’d love to host you again!
We enjoyed our week at Laceyvilla. The house was great for our family of 11. We walked down to the river a few times, but didn't take the kayaks to the location near the bridge. We found it was better to drive up to Creek side Park in Wyalusing to play in the water and enjoy God's creation. That park is only 10 miles up river, so I kayaked from the park back to the house twice. Took about 2 hours. We also found the Grovedale Winery was great for the whole family. They have a playground, small petting zoo and plenty of room for the kids to play. The wine is good too.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lacey Villa! Cindy was a top-notch communicator. All ages (& dogs) enjoyed the house and yard. The kids had fun using the kayaks & tubes in the river. Everyone was excited to see a local train come through a 2-3 times over the whole week (during the daytime). Pleasant little town to stroll through with nice neighbors. There are various state parks 1-2 hours away ... Ricketts Glen, Salt Springs, Little Grand Canyon, etc. Creekside Park is under 15 min away with an area for picnic, disc golf, & play area along the creek. Recommend LaceyVilla if you are looking for a unique, relaxing getaway!

Thank you, Mary! I’m so happy that you all had a wonderful time and got to explore the area!
We were very pleased with this house. We Vrbo about once a month and this house had everything. The host was very helpful even before we decided on renting this house. The neighbors are super nice and helpful telling us about local events and places to see. The only complaint is you can’t get to the river for pm the back yard you have to walk down a train tracks some to the entrance but This is out of the home owners control. We were here 5 days and not one train passed.
I highly recommend this charming antique house great for family getaways with everyone
We had the BEST time! Yard was huge so kids were able to set up tents, kids loves the fire area and making roasted potatoes. I really love the balconies because I was still able to be a part of the events when the baby needed rest. The water in the river was SO warm and we all had such a great time floating around and trying to catch fish.
Cross ri the other side of the bridge for easier access. At first we only took the grassy path and we're a little disheartened because it was a 0really steel hill.
Kitchen have us the opportunity to cook large home cooked meals together and the dishwasher was a real bonus!

Gorgeous house
We love the house and yard, it was exactly how described! So much room for our family.
The access to the river is non existent though from the yard. To get to the river, you have to walk the train tracks, about 8 houses down to a grassy area. There is a small kayak launch area but not a good place to swim or fish (alot of trees). We were just under the impression you could get to the river easily and directly from the backyard.
We ended up leaving early because of this( as it as the whole point of booking the house). Cindy was great at communicating and we did get a partial refund for the remainder of our stay.

Arlene, my description says river view and while you can see the river directly behind the house, it is a 10’ drop to get into the river. That’s why on the first page in the Welcome Book I tell you where to go to have access directly into the river to swim or fish.
You did not go to the access area. It’s only a couple houses down and one side of the bridge has steps that lead to the shallow part of the water and the other side has a beach right on the water. All my past guests have enjoyed it.
So you rated my house 3 stars because you didn’t follow directions? Not fair
We stayed at Laceyville to celebrate my grandma’s 80th birthday. We had a great time and the house handled all 10 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 dogs without feeling too squishy.
Cindy was a wonderful host! She left some local treats for us on the table on arrival and gave us some recommendations for activities in the area. She is very responsive and checked on us via message multiple times throughout our stay. When my grandma thought she forgot her laptop behind Cindy offered to go look for it and mail it the following day (the laptop ended up not being left behind).
Some things to be aware of though (especially if you are staying with elderly)- the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and the claw tub is a little tough to get in and out of and could be a little slippery.
Some things we did over the weekend - checked out the local shops, the oldest house in town, ordered take out from the meat hook (which is gluten free) and drove about an hour to Scranton to the trolley museum (which the toddlers loved)
Overall we had a great experience and would stay here again!

Not exactly what I expected
Not sure what exactly I was expecting, but this is not a house in the woods. You are a few feet off the road and everything in the back is down hill. I had a few older people with me and they could not walk down to the fire pit in the back. There was a storm that went through the night before and dropped 5 inches of rain so the river was flooded and we could not fish there. That was obviously not the owners fault. The house was nice but pictures make it look bigger. The porches could have been cleaned up a bit they were full of spider webs and stuff. All in all a good time was had.
Stayed at Laceyvilla because it was a central location for a family get together. House was well maintained, well stocked, and large enough for our group of 13. Cindy is a very responsive and helpful host. Would definitely stay again.
This property had the most provided furnishings/items of any we've stayed in so far, we even noticed things we hadn't realized were provided as we were packing up to leave.
There's not much going on in the area but we were aware of this before hand, we were looking for a place to go to just decompress and relax with family.
We did end up going to Hershey Park which was a 2.5 mile drive, my wife and son also went to the Aquarium in Scranton about an hour away.
All in all, it was a great stay, everyone found some way to entertain themselves, including a movie night. If you're looking for a way to get away, this is a great choice.
Cindy was very responsive and her home is clean and well equipped to meet the needs of our family during our stay. We would definitely stay in LaceyVilla again next time we are in the area.
