We were up there for a conservation hunt. It was very convenient very comfortable the short amount of time that we spent. There was very enjoyable. We even had a bonfire the first night.
Great place to stay , very clean. Even with no ac house stayed very cool inside and had nice fans in every room. Close to trail heads for riding access. Will book again for next riding trip .
We stayed here over 4th of July and it was great! We had 4 adults, and one 6 year old. There are 3 rooms. The house is decorated so cutely! We loved it. There was no AC, but there were a lot of fans to make up for that. We would stay here again if we go back to the area!

We liked the convenience to our family reunion. Was only a couple miles away.
Property was nice. Bathroom could of been cleaner. But over all was a nice weekend.
We would rent again.
Nice location on the Pierre Marquette river. Good fishing location.
House needs to be decluttered to accommodate guests. I like to read at night and the home and the home needs better reading lights since the home is dark. Bed was comfortable. House is peaceful and on a quiet road.
Could use a clean up outside.

The location was great, big property. The kids loved all the games that were there.Great movie selection. It is definitely a cabin feel. Needs better ventilation, it had a heavy musty smell when we first walked in. We had to keep all the windows open. The shower needs some wall repairs. Other then that is was great.

Place is way over due for a new bathroom my party went without showers cause it was nasty. It would also help to leave patrons stuff to clean up with. Was only one trash bag available then he complained where we left the trash. Would help if you had a place to put it or directions on where to put it. And stuff to clean up, in an area you tell them it is! Would not rent again, or recommend it till it been updated.
Family was in town and we needed a place near ours basically for them to just sleep. Therefore, we did not utilize the property to its potential. Location was perfect for us and only 500 feet from US-10. There is a market, dollar store, bar/restaurant, fruit market, gas station/liquor store, a floatable/fishing river ---so, lots of things to do close by or if you need something quick.
The house was a little rough on the outside, but the inside was clean, had a retro/unique decor and was quite comfortable. Its a big space, too! Many things were new (not remodeled), and it definitely has a "lived in - still living in" vibe going on. It suited us!
There is a handicap ramp to the side door so if you have an elder coming or disability, it accommodates very well. We did not have to bring anything special - there were linens, pillows, towels, and extra blankets. The kitchen was stocked - just bring your food and coffee/beverages. The only thing missing was a washer/dryer.
Everything worked. While there was no A/C, there are alot of fans in every room (both ceiling and floor). The residence is also completely shaded. We had cool nights so this did not bother us at all. We did not use the firepit.
This type of space is rare and affordable - it was worth it! Great for a big family or group of friends that wants a house instead of motel/hotel. Owner, Troy, communicated often to ensure our stay was pleasant and we had everything. We would definitely rent this place again.
The Branch cabin was perfect for our quick weekend. Our daughter needed some time to swim in “Her Lake”. We arrived late Friday evening, Troy reached out while we were on the road and made sure we had the details for getting in. When we walked in we (my husband and I) were instantly taken back to our cabin time in Michigan as adolescence. It has that wonderful you are finally on vacation smell to us. All part time lived in homes have. It was so clean and welcoming.
We had to go to the branch grocery and get breakfast pizza and it did not disappoint. Left to hit Stearn park in Ludington. It was a quick drive and beautiful day on Lake Michigan with fantastic waves. Came back, ate some dinner, gazed as some stars watched a few movies and were out and on our way home at checkout. Thank you to Troy and Victoria for opening V’s to us. It was perfect, comfortable and clean.

We had a great stay at this house. We came up for bike week and had an amazing time. A couple things to know were that the communication at first I was worried about but come to find out the owner didn't even get told he had a booking until the night before. Once we got in communication it was excellent. The house had everything we needed so we could've left a bunch at home to save us room on the bikes. There is not A/C or furnace but the house is surrounded by trees and there's a fan in each room. Even on days that were in the 90's range the house still felt like it had A/C. There's a wood burning stove for heat I believe.
There were 2 coffee makers (kcup & normal), a tea kettle, a great microwave, and all the kitchen things we needed including paper towels and some sandwich baggies, etc. There is a slight older cabin smell but there are candles and matches (drawer by front door). The beds are I believe 1-king, 1-queen and then the bunkbeds. All the mattresses and bedding/towels were clean and comfortable. This is indeed and older cottage so if you're expecting a fancy new place then look somewhere else. If you grew up in the 80's or earlier and appreciate a home that you can feel the love but it has some things they're fixing as they can (older houses aren't cheap to repair) then you'll appreciate this place. Yes it has flaws but the character and decor is very charming. It is owned by a father and teen daughter. The fire area was very nice to sit around as well.
Home was clean and cute inside. We just had to let it air out upon arrival, it does have some water issues which is causing mold which homeowner is addressing
We weren’t there much but it was everything we needed. Just around the corner from Branch Grocery (BEST BREAKFAST PIZZA, EVER) and only a few minutes to the Pere Marquette River! This is the perfect spot for salmon season!
