The house was perfect for us, very clean, more than the usual pantry supplies there and in the prettiest place ever! We totally enjoyed our stay, the beautiful scenery, the 6 fish we caught, the beautiful stars and the sounds. Lovely home, we will be back!
We had a great trip. The house has beautiful accommodations, everything you could want. Very clean and well maintained. We loved the view and being right on the river.
Three friend on a fishing trip. Location was convenient to where we fished. House is set up perfectly for our stay and has everything we needed or could have wanted. Second time staying and will be back next year. Wish all VRBOs were as well thought out.
We rented the property for a family visit for Mother’s Day. Everything was great and as advertised. Only thing to note is there are no bathroom facilities in basement.
Having river access is such a bonus for this house. Everything is great about this location. The house is well appointed for a family and older kids or multiple families. The private boat lunch is also a bonus, it loads into a creek rather than directly into the river like most.
Well designed, well built home. Very comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed and a well stocked pantry for some spices we forgot to bring. Wouldn’t change a thing!
Just what we needed and more!
Beautiful views, clean well appointed home, and fabulously comfortable beds!
We felt like we were in our own bit of paradise. Kind and welcoming hosts rounded out tone of the most relaxing weekends we have had in a while.
We plan to return!
House was beautiful and clean. One slight quirk was that there is no bathroom downstairs - and one must go outside and up the steps to get to the upstairs (no inside stairwell between floors). Not a huge deal, but a little inconvenient. House is quite a ways from town - so do all your shopping g before you arrive
Nice place. Clean. Good view and access to river with ramp. Only problem we encountered was we couldn’t get the gas grill to light. 3 of us tried and had no success. Would recommend.
The house was amazing--it looks brand new. The bed and bath linens appeared to be new, and all matching. The kitchen was outfitted with complete matching sets in dishes, pots and pans, silverware and utensils. I wish my kitchen at home was this well set up and stocked! The deck is spacious and comfortable--great for relaxing and watching the river roll by. We would go back anytime!
We hit this place at one of the most unfortunate times… immediately following a tornado nearby. Power was out for arrival night, but the owner stayed in constant contact. They took great care of us throughout the lead-up and the stay. The home is so amazing. Downstairs/upstairs, both are great. Quiet, secluded area. River access and river view are both outstanding. Once again, you can’t go wrong on location, and you really can’t get better hosts.
Great location being right on the river and close to the boat dock to rent boat for fishing. Deck was wonderful for morning and evening relaxing and plenty of grills for cooking.
I did not check what amenities would be provided so check that before you go, evidently coffee is not provided for your entire stay. There was coffee there but not enough for 4 mornings and 6 people. This is only my 3rd time to book house or cabin and an abundance of coffee was provided at my previous rentals. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay.
We had a great stay and the house was just as advertised. What we would have liked to have known prior is the terrains getting to the home is not good for a small compact car. My daughter almost could not make it to the house with the gravel roads and dips and turns. We also would have appreciated knowing that you really need to get your groceries and necessities before arriving at the home. The nearest Walmart is about 40 minutes away and arriving late at night we had no idea that we wouldn’t have access to any type of close by store. Also we were not told we needed a fishing license to fish behind the house. It was beautiful and comfortable just missing some important information for our large family stay.
This lovely house on the White River was perfect for our group of 8 adults to watch the eclipse and as a home base for outdoor hiking adventures. It's in a beautiful somewhat remote area (but not TOO remote) with lots of space between homes. It has great views of the river from the beautiful deck.
The house itself was very comfortable and nicely decorated, with a well-stocked kitchen everything we needed, plus lots of little extras from the owners who were very responsive in all communications. Two queen bedrooms were very nice and the master bedroom was gorgeous and comfortable.
We all spent most of our time on the large deck, enjoying the river view. We can recommend this house to anyone and would easily choose it again.
Tip: Do note basement media/bedroom, which my husband and I took, is separate entry and you go outside and up outside steps to main house. It was quite comfortable with a king and queen bed, and spacious, but no bathroom which we knew ahead. We are campers and just brought a portable commode to park in the 'mudroom' leading into that basement bedroom in case of middle-night needs - though we didn't need it.)

About the host
Hosted by Plane Tree Lane LLC
Our family has been living or visiting the greater Mountain Home area going on five generations. As a young man, my family and I would visit my grandfather living nearby in Gamaliel, Arkansas. I have fond family memories fishing and boating on Lake Norfork and the White River; I have passed down these memories with my family and son, and now my son is doing the same with his children.
Why they chose this property
Great view of the White River, and easy access to great fishing.
What makes this property unique
There are 170 feet of river frontage with steps taking you to the river's edge, along with access to a private boat launch.
