We love staying at Country Blue! It's so peaceful and quiet. Faye & Don are so welcoming it's like meeting up with friends except they give us our privacy. I would definitely stay here again.

The guest suite is set in a tranquil place surrounded by magnificent spruce, pine and hemlock trees and a beautiful garden. It is a perfect place to stay. It is beautifully furnished, very clean, functional, equipped with everything you need, warm and most comfortable. Faye and Don were the most welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you both for a very memorable stay. We wish to come again to experience the restful stay, hike in the nearby forest trails and explore the enchanting nature reserves, easily accessible a short drive. We also enjoyed the picturesque Qualicum Beach with its sunny beaches as well as good food from Quality Foods store and several great places to eat out.

The suite was very inviting with a large open living room/dining room/kitchen area. The bedroom was wonderful with large windows looking onto a private yard and patio that we could access. There was an apple tree in the yard with ripe apples we could pick. There were so many little details that made it special. Don and Faye were wonderful hosts and were sensitive to our privacy. In spite of that, we were able to get a couple of quick visits in and make a great connection. Faye surprises her guests with homemade banana loaf which was amazing. We will be sure to book again when we are back in Qualicum and recommend it highly!

The unit was clean and felt new and comfortable, although the pull out bed could use more comfort. Anything that you might need was supplied, like a back up toothpaste, bandaid, kids beach toys, umbrellas etc. A welcome banana bread was delicious and a nice surprise. There were deck chairs in the yard and an outside table with chairs. There were board games, books, TV and darts. The bar fridge was a bit of a challenge to fit everything in to, but that was a minor issue. That was even a small fan to cool the room at night which I appreciated. We also met Don (host) who was very pleasant and offered to let us know when a group of quail usually show up so that our granddaughter could see them. This was a very private, quiet and relaxing spot about 8-10 min from town.

Fantastic stay

A hidden gem off of the beaten path. The suite was absolutely spotless, amenities were all that we needed and the bed/pillows were so comfortable (a very nice end to travel days). The hosts were top notch and very very good at communicating, we will definitely be staying at this property again.

A Wonderful Place to Stay

A delightful charming country location close to the amenities of Qualicum Beach. We were impressed with the comfortable bed, family room with TV, library and the personal touches of coffee and yummy banana bread. We have already recommended Country Blue to several friends and will return in a heartbeat.

Lovely suite for a weekend getaway

My partner and I enjoyed a weekend stay at this lovely property and we were very happy with the communication, check-in, and property amenities/condition. We would highly recommend this suite for anyone wanting to explore along Highway 4 as it is a quick 5 minute drive to get going!

Love the country setting in this neighbourhood. It’s peaceful, pretty and great for a morning trail run. I enjoy sipping my morning coffee while enjoying the view of Mt Arrowsmith. As a new retiree, I’m looking forward to creating a pleasant retreat for guests. My husband and I are always making little improvements on the property and we are ready to share our space with others.
