The BIG Mac Shack - HOT TUB with Family, and Friends!!

Lets have some FUN!!!! The perfect large space for the ultimate time at Lake Mac with friends and family! Whether your adventure of Lake McConaughy leads to fun on the lake, relaxing in hot springs spa, golfing, hunting/fishing, and/or time with friends and family; The BIG Mac Shack will easily accommodate 4-5 families in the 5 bedroom, 3 bath, open concept shouse.
Enjoy the day lounging on the large 10'x60' covered patio and the ease of packing and unpacking your vehicles and boats after a day of fun in the GIANT 40'x70' shed. This giant shed will help protect your vehicles and watercraft from the common summer thunderstorms. There is space available upon request to park two campers next to the BIG Mac Shacks Shed.
The BIG Mac Shack has it all! A large 7 person Hot Springs salt water spa. A huge fully furnished kitchen, washer and dryer, oversized adult bunk beds, fold out couches, zone controlled home stereo system, den/office space to relax. Plenty of seating around the 75" TV and dinning areas, charcoal or gas grills for your grilling needs, and views for days! Running low on ICE do not fret, no need to run to the store the BIG Mac Shack has an ice maker capable or producing an extra 140 pounds of ice a day for you coolers.
The BIG Mac Shack is located in Beautiful Eagle Canyon on the southwest part of the lake. It is conveniently located next to Eagle Canyon Resort which has a pool (admission required) and general store which has any basic food and beverage needs, including beach, boating, and fishing supplies.
The BIG Mac Shack is only 2 miles from Bayside Golf Course, 4 miles from Van's, and 15 miles from Ogallala. The BIG Mac Shack is located right next door to the largest tract of public hunting ground on the lake (3200 acres) within steps of the shack. The Clear Creek Wildlife Management area provides world class waterfowl hunting, along with exceptional, deer, turkey, predator, and upland hunting.

Family Reunion at then Lake

This property was perfect for our large extended family to stay and play. The huge back porch and expansive garage were very popular hang out spots. The giant kitchen and dining room were perfect for the large family meals. We will definitely be back!

Big Mac Shack - The Best

Although our stay had a few snags in it at the start, we loved the house and the garage space (there was a storm while we were there). We had plenty of space for the babies and youngsters to sleep and have fun. The kitchen area and eating areas were awesome. We spent time on the porch and a great ending to our days was the hot tub. We would certainly stay here again in the future.

Family Wedding

Two families stayed at the house to attend a wedding hosted nearby. The house was so perfect we hosted a champagne brunch for our immediate family the morning of the wedding. It was a wonderful place to spend time with family members we don’t get to see often. The view of the lake is wonderful. Plenty of parking, seating and a wonderful kitchen to cook a meal. Well stocked and perfectly clean. All bathrooms are nice sized, good water pressure and lots of comfortable beds. Highly recommend this house to stay and enjoy family and friends. Also, very close to a superb and highly rated golf course.

Perfect Gathering Spot

This property was perfect for our anniversary/ Easter get together. Great common space for us to cook, visit and enjoy each other’s company! The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and serving. Very limited and delayed communication from the owner, but ultimately no issues! We were not told in advance that the hot tub was not available. Not a big deal but would have saved us from packing swimsuits. Would definitely stay here again though, great experience!

Rented this place a few months ago. I never received my check in information I called VRBO and the owners never contacted VRBO. VRBI cancelled my rental a few hours before checkin due to the owners never contacting me or VRBO. VRBO could have cared less than I didn’t have a place to stay. They would not help me to rent another place and I was left to fend for myself. Horrible host. Stay away.

Awesome place!

Communication with property manager was very limited. I didn't stay at the property, because my husband and I were diagnosed with Covid the day before check-in. Family members told us the property was very clean and the house worked perfectly for our family get-together. The road getting to the property may be difficult during heavy rain. We rented the house following a snow storm and the road and parking area were cleared out well. The kids even enjoyed some sledding. Overall, very pleased with property!

Fantastic home

This is a beautiful home! Lots of space and well kept. Our only complaint is the total lack of communication with the host. We sent multiple messages about door codes to get in, password for the wifi. If there hadn’t been a door that was left inadvertently unlocked in the back we would been locked out of a very expensive vacation. No reply at all.

Fun getaway!

This place was amazing and was the perfect spot for our multi family trip. There was plenty of room for all, it was close to different beach access points yet far enough away that we didn’t notice the crowds from Labor Day. Andy was a great host! We are already planning our return trip!

Bird Hunting Trip
