Puako Beach Drive Large 1 Bedroom apartment accross from the Beach
Clean newly remodeled one bedroom condo in Puako. Mini split AC for a good nights sleep after a day at the beach. One King bed up with a sofa sleeper in living area. The condo has a full kitchen. The bedroom has a king size bed and full bath. This is a perfect spot for 2 people but could sleep unto 3. The condo is 1100 sq feet and has a large living room with a neo sofa sleeper that folds out into a double bed. We are a 300 feet across the street from Puako tide pools and turtle beach. There is beach access directly across the street. We are one mile to Paniau surf beach and 2 miles to Hapuna Beach. The property is nestled between the Mauna Lani Resort and Hapuna State Park on the Big Island. The area behind the house is a Keawe Forrest with views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa off the Lanai. Mani Lani Shops is about 10 minutes drive and the Kings and Queens Shops are about 15 minutes drive where there are restaurants shopping and a bistro movie theater. Puako Beach Drive tidal pools look out to Maui and have the most beautiful sunsets on the island and the perfect place to catch a Green Flash. Turtle Beach is across the street a short walk on the beach. Honu Heaven. Sometimes as many as 15.

About the host
Your host
We have lived on Hawaii almost 25 years. I am from New Orleans and my wife is from Minnesota. We are both health care providers but recently have slowed down. Our son is off to college and he lived in the downstairs apartment. We have begun to travel around the USA mainland in a van but plan to always spent our winters in Puako. We are renting his space to pay for college.
Why they chose this property
There are very few places in Hawaii or the world like Puako. It is an insiders paradise and is comparatively unknown. Many Hawaiian don't know Puako but once you know it it is unforgettable and will always hold a space in your mind. Surf and bogie board at the end of the street or paddle board at the other end of the street. The tide pools are full of marine life and the daily sunsets a dream come true everyday.
What makes this property unique
Our property is across the street from beach access and than a one block walk to a pool that is a home and sunning place for an extraordinary amount go Turtles. People hope to get a small glimpse of the turtles on Hawaii and our apartment sits in a place that a short walk to a beach that has turtles everyday. It would be rare not to see a Honu. Sun shines in Puako when it is raining in Waimea and Kona.
