About this property

The Zen Den - Highlands, NC Location and Comfort

We think you'll just love our oh-so comfortable and inviting guest cabin. Tucked away on our hobby farm, it's peaceful and quiet yet, just a few minutes drive to Main Street. Breathe in the cool mountain air and take time for yourself up in the meditation loft that opens to serene pastoral and wilderness views. Plan an easy hike from the cabin to 2 nat'l forest trail heads or simply relax on your deck. Pet friendly with prior approval.

Guest access
The Zen Den is up on a beautiful south facing hill at Highlands' cool elevation of 4118'. The cabin has its own private deck and yard for guests' exclusive use.
Please enjoy our horses and dogs from a distance and we ask that you not interact with them directly or allow your pets in their designated areas.

Other things to note

PETS:
Please contact host prior to booking as guests bringing pets require prior approval

WINTERTIME NOTE:
Please know that during the winter months, the mountain weather can get tricky with extreme cold, ice and snow storms. The power could go out and so could the internet.
And, if the driveway ices over, you may need to walk up the hill from the road to the cabin. The likelihood of any of this happening is pretty low but I don't want you to have any adverse surprises during your trip.
Thank you for your consideration to this and I do hope you decide to come on up and enjoy your time here in Highlands during our beautiful winter months!

Great place to stay for a quick trip to the mountains.
We had a small window of opportunity for a trip to Highlands, NC. I found The Zen Den on VRBO and the description met what we needed. The owner gave perfect directions on how to get to our location (the gps would have never got us there) and had turned the heat on before our arrival. The place was very clean and comfortable. The cooking situation was very limited but for our short stay it was fine. For two people and a short stay the Zen Den was perfect!

Quaint cottage
We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and we enjoyed being able to walk to Glen Falls. Not far from downtown, but it seemed so far away.
